I drove from Changsha to Wugong Mountain, which lasted 2 hours and 30 minutes. I drove directly to the farm restaurant near the entrance of the scenic spot. I had free parking for lunch at the farm restaurant. It was just time for lunch, so I chose to have lunch at the farm restaurant and then walk a few hundred meters. Go to the ticket gate. There are many people selling bamboo poles at the ticket gate for 2 yuan/piece. You must have trekking poles for hiking, otherwise you will regret it.
We were divided into two groups. One group chose to take the cableway all the way up the mountain, while we chose to only take the Zhongan cableway. In this way, we can view the scenery all the way up and feel walking in nature , and we can also see things along the way. Uncles carry mineral water instant noodles and snacks up the mountain, so it makes sense that the food on the top of the mountain is very expensive. After going down the first-level ropeway, it only takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to climb to the Golden Summit.

We arrived at the top of the mountain at about 4 o'clock, at an altitude of 1880 meters. At this time, we had not started setting up tents. By 4:30, the staff began to set up tents everywhere. It was simply a paradise for camping enthusiasts. We considered going there the next day. If you can get a good spot at sunrise, rent a tent as soon as possible, get a quilt and sleeping bag, and choose the location of the tent. I heard that there are tens of thousands of tents. You can choose the tent you have set up, and then contact the staff to mark it. However, after choosing the tent, it was almost sunset time. The Golden Summit is the best place to watch the sunset, and it is really popular with many people. The sunset is super beautiful and golden. It feels so close to us. Only by coming here can we feel the tranquility of the years.

After watching the sunset, we went back to the service center to look for food. Food is really expensive. Because climbing is very tiring, we didn’t bring any dry food. We chose to eat instant noodles at the top of the mountain. After eating, we simply went We had to wash up, because there were too many people, and we didn’t even take a shower. The temperature difference on the mountain was also very big, it was very cold at night, and the fog was very heavy. After washing, we hid in the tent and waited for the stars. At around 23:30, we saw the starry sky. The Big Dipper and the children chatting and playing games on the mountain were quite beautiful, but I was half asleep and half awake all night.

It was past 4 o'clock, and the sunrise had not yet begun. I had already begun to hear various noisy sounds. The tent was already filled with fog. When I opened the tent, there were already groups of people waiting for the sunrise on the top of the mountain. 5 Around 0:00, the sunrise slowly climbed out. By 5:30, the staff began to pack up the tents. After watching the sunrise, we also started to pack up and go down the mountain. The sunset was more beautiful than the sunrise.

We chose the other direction to go down the mountain. After climbing the mountain on the first day, we found that going down the mountain on the second day was even more difficult. After sunrise, I thought I could see the sea of clouds, but I didn't see it. But I was not disappointed because the top of the mountain was also beautiful after sunrise. We still chose not to take the secondary cableway, but walked down the mountain to the Zhongan cableway and took it to the entrance of the scenic spot. We passed the glass plank road and had a panoramic view of the mountains. It was a worthwhile trip.

Last but not least, be sure to prepare enough power bank, because there is no place to charge on the mountain. Climbing the mountain is really tiring, so be fully prepared. There is a big temperature difference on the mountain, so you need to prepare a thick jacket.
