Since the last time Yubeng came back, I have always had doubts in my heart. Do you like outdoors, hiking, or do you just like the beautiful atmosphere that was created at that moment? Sitting around and imagining things will certainly not give you the answer.

One day at dinner, I was having another quarrel with my mother, so I put down my chopsticks and decided to escape as soon as possible to catch my breath. Turn on your computer and search for domestic elementary hiking routes. Many posts point to Jiangxi Wugong Mountain. Well, I checked the words "Wugong Mountain" three times in a loop. That’s right, it’s not Wudang Mountain. With a name like this, could it be that it was a place for martial arts training, or that there were experts on the top of the mountain? The reputation is also quite resounding "East China Pilgrimage Road" and "Palace-level Hiking Holy Land", which scared me so much that I almost didn't dare to look at it.

After learning more about it, I found that there are actually many routes to choose from and they are friendly to novices. Plus the distance is suitable and the transportation is convenient. No matter the season, there are scenery in all seasons. Sunrise and sunset, mountains and meadows, sea of clouds and stars. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. The cost is not high, Let’s go now!

Pack the package. Finally lost another quarter of my luggage. Change your brightest slippers to navy blue. Facial cleanser for two days, and toothpaste powder can be filled in the same way. After the age of thirty, life is given by cephalosporin, so give it a round and round shape.

Set off

From Hangzhou to Pingxiang, it takes four hours by high-speed train and ten hours by sleeper train. I chose a berth at around nine o'clock in the evening, got some sleep, arrived at eight o'clock in the morning, had breakfast, and gathered at nine o'clock. Couldn't be more perfect.

On the departing train, I met my groupmate, Aunt Zhu Qing. She had just retired and started playing like crazy. I went to Sanqing Mountain the week before and thought it was so beautiful that I immediately placed an order for Wugong Mountain.

We luckily bought the shop next door. It was my first time sitting in a sleeper berth, so I felt a little unfamiliar and worried that I wouldn't be able to sleep, so she cautiously brought sleeping pills.

The sleeper car at night has the atmosphere of going home to celebrate the New Year. Those playing cards, chatting, and staring out the window in a daze. Everything was fine except for the freezing air conditioner. I put on my thickest clothes, wrapped myself in a quilt, and fell asleep quickly.

DAY 1

When I opened my eyes again, the sky was cloudy and raining. I'm afraid there won't be good weather today.

I didn't take the weather into consideration when traveling originally, thinking that as long as it wasn't a storm that would affect safety, it would be acceptable. When we left the station, it had not yet rained in the city. I ate some fried noodles, bought a raincoat, rubbed my hands and waited to set off.

Aunt Zhu Qing reminded that there is no food to eat on the road today, so you must bring dry food! I thought, isn't this just right for burning fat? Coupled with the temperament that he doesn't want to carry more than one tissue. After persisting and being told by her three or four times, I finally felt a little embarrassed and went to the store to pick out the lightest piece of bread and put it on my back.

Waiting at the meeting point, I started scanning for group members. Besides me, there were six others. One of the boys was actually wearing white Converse and carrying a cross-body bag. Later, another girl came, dragging a suitcase and wearing height-increasing sneakers. I began to wonder, did I misunderstand the itinerary? Waterproof shoes, a 20L bag, and hiking poles seem a bit artificial.

We set off as soon as everyone gathered. It was still more than an hour's drive from Pingxiang Railway Station to Dongjiang Village, the starting point of the hike. It started from sunny days to moderate rain, and by the time we officially set off, it was sunny again.

There are about a hundred types of climbing routes in Wugong Mountain. There are generally two types of clubs on the market. Leisure line and outdoor line. For the leisure route, take the built step path in the scenic area. Outdoor route, walking on wild roads throughout the journey. Our tour is a two-day outdoor tour with light equipment, focusing on experience and not covering all the spots. After all, I'm not quite sure of my own strength yet.

Got a picture from the internet

The leader, Cai, was from this village and showed up wearing a pair of mid-tube rain boots. Today’s route is to climb along the Ping’an Ancient Trail to Despair Slope, and you will arrive at the Peak Inn in the afternoon. Ping'an Ancient RoadJust like the Ancient Tea Horse Road in Wugong Mountain, it was an important trade route in the old days. We will pass through Jiutiao Creek on the way. Due to the continuous rain and the heavy rain the day before, the water flow will be very strong today. In such weather, Director Cai couldn't tell whether we could successfully take the outdoor route. We can only go to the first stream to check the situation. If we can cross it smoothly, there will be no big problems in the following streams. But if we can’t pass the first one, then we can only turn back and take the leisure route.

Starting from the village, I first had to pass through a stone road with footrests, which made my sprained ankle extremely nervous. The stuffy raincoat and pants without pockets are annoying. The trekking poles in my hand are useless. I always want to hold the phone, then take out the camera, and finally put them away again, repeatedly. I followed at the end and was within Director Cai's line of sight, but I couldn't see clearly the group members in front of me.

Soon we arrived at the first stream that would determine today's fate. We waited on the spot for Director Cai to explore the route, and the response we received was that we could pass, so we had to take off our shoes and pass one by one.

After crossing the first stream, I took out my plastic shoes with great satisfaction.

And when crossing the second stream, one was successfully washed away. If I had taken Little Pink with me, she would have been the one running away from home today!嘤嘤嘤

After that, I basically said goodbye to shoes throughout the morning. It hurts to use the soles of my feet to communicate with nature, but I am stubborn enough to keep the other pair of shoes dry. After crossing three or four streams, the rain became heavier. The light was dim, my clothes and pants were all wet, and the soles of my feet hurt. I really didn’t feel good physically, but I could only walk.

After crossing Jiutiao Creek, we arrived at the inn at one o'clock in the afternoon. It was a covered stone house. As soon as we entered the house, the mosquito army was probably a thousand times more numerous than us. But it is already very good to be sheltered from the rain and supplied.

What’s even better is that a little brother came up carrying beer!

With beer bread, everything is easy to say. When the rain stopped, we started again. This section to Despair Slope feels like walking in a primeval forest. The stone road is hidden among the trees. The wind picks up after the rain, and there is a ticking sound all around. It is quiet and pleasant.

I also gradually got into the zone, I don’t know if it was because of the beer or the good rhythm brought by the white Converse. This kid who was born in 1997 was so thin that he looked like he would be blown away by the wind. He was dressed in a shopping outfit, but he rushed to the front all the way. If Director Cai hadn't stopped him many times and asked him to stop and wait for everyone, he would have disappeared long ago.

I asked on the way, "You walk very fast." He replied, isn't this the normal speed? Well, the old aunt was speechless for a moment. He said that he also had hiking equipment, but this time he was passing by and climbed along the way, so he was not prepared. But that crossbody bag really wore him out. Well, the old aunt really didn't notice that he was tired at all.

Finally I saw the open mountain scenery, which was at the starting point of Despair Slope. This is the first small climax of the day. Sure enough, the journey in the morning was not in vain, and I am in a good mood.

Look at the Despair Slope that we are about to walk on. Because most of it is covered by the fog, it doesn’t seem to be very steep.

The climb was easier than imagined. If you only focus on your feet and don't look back, all you will be left with is physical fatigue.

If the fog was wiped away, it would be quite shocking. At the same time, it can scare patients with phobia of heights. Nothing is steep, I was reckless just now.

The afternoon was extremely busy because we had to rush on both sides of the mountain road. The weather has improved, the wind is strong, and the clouds and fog are moving quickly. Although the video was taken normally, I always feel that the delay is turned on.

I always hear a cheer and rush to the right to see the village flash by.

After another round of cheering, I went to the left to see the sea of clouds showing up, occasionally accompanied by some golden light. At that time, we actually imagined that we could see the sunset.

I didn’t know whether to go or stop, for fear of missing something, but it seemed like this was the only scene that lasted the whole afternoon. Stupid and tired.

As we approach the top of the mountain, it’s the highlight of the day. Isn't this an alpine meadow? Seeing this green makes you feel extremely comfortable both physically and mentally.

When the weather is nice, people feel so beautiful.

In the distance is the villa where we will stay tonight, and when we get closer is a work shed. But on a high mountain where supplies are scarce, there is electricity, water, WiFi, and protection from wind and rain. Compared to a tent, it can be considered a five-star hotel.

Fortunately we were the only ones on the mountain today. There is no need to queue up to take a shower or eat, you can also use a hair dryer, and you can sleep in bunk beds for two people.

Our Director Cai can climb mountains and climb kitchens. As soon as we arrived at the villa, we started to get busy, and the electricity was generated so that we could take a quick shower. Make ginger soup and make dinner. In a few clicks, a large table of dishes was created. It’s really delicious! (The company please add chicken drumsticks to him)

While we were eating, we forgot that we wanted to watch the sunset. But fortunately, the sky changes in the evening, there are no sunset stars, and the sea of clouds at the door is enough to drink unlimitedly.

During dinner, everyone chatted. It turns out that the Converse boy rode the 318 and traveled through Nepal two years ago. No wonder he has extraordinary physical strength and can eat all the leftovers on the table. It’s great to be young and eat more to avoid getting fat. After dinner, Director Cai forced us to sing karaoke. Who would have thought that the dining room can be transformed into a disco, with an 80s disco feel.

We initially agreed that we would sing until nine o'clock, and probably because we sang so beautifully, Director Cai recharged the battery for half an hour. At nine-thirty, I turned off the lights and went to bed on time. It felt like I was back at school and living in a dormitory. The sunrise the next day was at 5:30. I would wake up almost every hour and check my phone, but I didn’t dare to turn it on all the time for fear of attracting all kinds of bugs.

I endured it until 5 o'clock, and I couldn't lie down anymore. The wind outside was strong enough to carry the house away, but luckily I didn't live in a tent, which might turn into a wing-like flight. Sunrise is definitely out of the question, so just get up and wait for breakfast.

When Director Cai brought out this basin of egg noodles smelling of lard, my eyes were shining. This is the source of all strength today, and a new day has just begun.

DAY 2

Although the weather is a mess, we still have to hit the road. Today’s goal is the Golden Summit. The highest place in Jiangxi, with an altitude of 1918 meters. It is said that the field of vision is extremely broad, and the beautiful scenery in all directions can be seen before the eyes.

Okay, okay, let's go quickly. But don't get too excited.

Not long after I walked out, I felt like the sky was opening up slightly. Could it be that the weather was going to get better! A small flame of hope flickered.

Five minutes later, it was extinguished by thick fog.

foggy road

Tree in the Mist

Lovely in the fog

What I mean by "the clouds and mist are lingering, like walking in a fairyland" is truly felt.

An hour and a half later, we arrived at the Diaomazhuang supply station. Even though it hasn't rained yet, he looks like he was fished out of the water. The mobile phone cannot recharge normally.

There are still some stairs to go up to the Golden Dome from here. How many are there? I climbed for 40 minutes without stopping.

Converse White and I got there first. Looking at this extremely wide field of view and the beautiful scenery in all directions, I really suspected that I was in trouble. Director Cai reminded us to get out of the rain as soon as possible after taking photos to avoid being struck by lightning.

Although it was a bit of a joke, I really wanted to ask myself why I had to come up here even though I knew it would be like this. It was fruitless at that time. After I came back, I saw a travel note that said: "When I reached the Golden Summit, I conquered another mountain." It turned out to be like this. Sure enough, the word "conquer" rarely comes to my mind. Although it makes some sense, I don’t want to completely agree with it. It seems that I have to continue to experience it.

But, anyway. At least the Golden Summit has arrived. The remaining task today is to go down the mountain and go home.

The road down the mountain is quite easy, like walking through scenic spots like North Peak. Many boys and girls, wearing skirts, carrying instant noodles and snacks, were climbing up. And we have begun to move downward with inertia, and we have developed a feeling of calmness. There was still the same mist surrounding it, a single beauty that I could see for another whole day.

The Taoist temple in the middle of the mountain is also blessed by immortal energy, and it is destined to only enjoy the spiritual energy of the mountain.

Of course it's not bad. The essence of Wugong Mountain is not just these clouds. As for the sunrise and sunset, the yellow in autumn and white in winter, I will still get to know you again. After all Waiting for the sun to rise over the sea of clouds and the stars filling the sky is not a waste of time.

The hike went well, we dispersed where we were, and goodbye in the world.
