Liaoning Xingcheng Ancient City Travel Guide

Scenic spot introduction:

Xingcheng Ancient City is one of the four most complete Ming Dynasty ancient cities in my country, and it is also the only square acropolis among them. The ancient city of Xingcheng was built during the Xuande period of the Ming Dynasty. It was originally the Ningyuan Acropolis and was a battleground for military strategists. Ming guard Yuan Chonghuan once achieved the "Ningyuan Victory" against the Jurchens here.

The ancient city of Xingcheng in Liaoning has experienced more than 570 years of wind, rain, and war damage. The outer city no longer exists. The inner city has been repaired many times and has basically maintained its original appearance. It is a famous tourist attraction and a filming location for film and television dramas. The ancient city wall has four gates in the southeast and northwest. There is a bell and drum tower in the center of the city. There is a semicircular urn outside the city gate. There are two ancestral stone squares, a Confucian Temple, the Town God's Temple, the General's Mansion, the Zhou family's residence and other historical sites in the city.
