Before I went to Shanghai, my fantasy of Shanghai was old-style western-style buildings + trams and the Oriental Pearl Tower + Financial Street. It was a magical city that combined ancient charm with modernity, and it was true. But I stayed in Shanghai for six days. I only went to a few popular places, ate a few popular delicacies, slept for a few days, and didn’t do anything else particularly meaningful. Those trams and Financial Street I didn't go either.

Attraction 1: Disney

Tickets for Shanghai Disneyland (a must-do) are 542 for a full day and 399 for a half-day. The business hours are from 7:30 am to the end of the fireworks show at 21:00 pm, but many projects are closed at 5:30 pm. I went during the off-season. I bought a half-day ticket for 339 on Meituan four days in advance. There were quite a lot of things to pay attention to when going to Disneyland. I couldn’t bring many things with me because the security check was strict. I brought a portable can Shrunken tripods are not allowed to be brought into the park and can only be stored in the storage area of the Disney Hotel. Of course, this is subject to a fee. The Disneyland scenic spot is really big and there are a lot of people there. I went there on a Monday and there were still a lot of people. There are two major features of Disney's programs that you must watch and can definitely watch. One is the parade performance and the other is the fireworks show that starts at 8:30 p.m. There are more than 30 attractions in the scenic area, and each one requires more than half an hour to queue up. Almost all the attractions must be reserved and queued up on the Shanghai Disney APP before 3 p.m., and it is impossible to finish them all in one day. So it is normal for friends who go to visit not to have enough fun, because the projects inside are basically popular projects and many people want to play.

The finale of the fireworks show: Although the fireworks show starts at 8:30 p.m., many people finish the rides at 5 or 6 p.m. and rush to occupy the best viewing position, because the staff will block it at 7 p.m. The viewing point is only accessible but not accessible. I only found the so-called best viewing spot after the fireworks show was over. I was a failure, so I summarized my experience for your reference. The best viewing spot is in front of the fountain in front of the castle, because the entire fireworks show is a combination of light images and fountain fireworks, interpreting many of Disney's excellent animated stories. After playing, it is recommended that you either wait for the bus to return, or take a taxi in advance, because the queue for a taxi takes a long time, and it is better for new users to take a taxi and have priority. For detailed precautions and travel guide, please follow the Shanghai Disney Resort applet.

Attraction 2: Oriental Pearl Tower

Tickets are 220, and Meituan sells them for 198. It is recommended that friends who go up to the tower to watch start climbing the tower at 3 p.m., but this requires making an appointment to climb the tower one hour in advance. You can also buy a buffet package and have many attractions. For details and precautions, please follow the Shanghai Oriental Pearl Tower WeChat article. Let me tell you quietly that I didn’t climb the tower because I was delayed after dinner and canceled it.

Attraction 3: Night view of the Bund + City God Temple

Friends who have seen the Pearl Tower must also want to visit the Bund. After all, it is a well-known attraction in Shanghai. From 6:30 p.m. to 12:00 p.m. when it gets dark, there are a lot of people on the Bund, so it is recommended that friends who are going somewhere try to leave around 9:00 p.m., because there are no queues for taxis there late at night. If you are like me, you can't wait until 10:30 a.m. on the subway. If it's closed, it would be a disaster. When you go to the Bund, you can visit the City God Temple. The night views of the two places are completely different. The British-European-style night view on the Bund is beautiful and dazzling. The ancient lantern temple in the City God Temple makes people feel peaceful and distant. The night view of the City God Temple is not inside the temple, but in the food street outside the temple. However, there are always security guards guarding it. Close the door.

Attraction 4: Wukang Road

Ba Jin’s Former Residence on Wukang Road, an Internet celebrity attraction, should be visited by many people. After all, it is on the popular list, but you have to check whether it is open before going, because I didn’t believe it when I went there. I checked before that it was closed. As for the museum, I saw some comments in recent days about people who visited it. After I went there, I found out that it was really closed. But Wukang Road is really suitable for walking on the road. Walking under the green shade on the side of the road in the hot summer, the occasional cool breeze blows away, blowing away the heat of the entire summer. Slowing down and looking at the small western-style buildings on both sides of the road, only Shanghai can see a bit of the unique charm of old Shanghai. It makes people feel that life is very beautiful, and they will also lament why there is such a refined and western-style city.

Attraction 5: Yu Garden

Ticket 40. I have a lot of regrets about being in Yu Garden. Because I didn’t buy a ticket in advance, I missed the Yu Garden scenic spot. I just walked around at the door. However, friends who want to go to Yu Garden can stop by and visit the City God Temple. Yu Garden and City God Temple are only a few meters apart. 100 meters. But it's a pity that I haven't been to either of them, so I won't introduce them to you. But I still recommend to my devout friends to go to the City God’s Temple in the morning and Yu Garden in the afternoon, because there are several food streets outside the City God’s Temple, where you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Food recommendation

As for Shanghai’s food, I highly recommend Xijia Garden. This restaurant is also located near Jing’an Temple. It is a single-family villa, so friends who love visiting temples can drop by, but be sure to book a table in advance. It is usually during peak dining hours. It's best to make a reservation a week in advance, but you don't need to make a reservation if you want to eat after 2 o'clock but before 5 o'clock. The environment of this restaurant is elegant and has the flavor of old Shanghai. The distance between the tables is also a little wide, which is more suitable for dates. It is very quiet inside and the attitude of the waiters is also very friendly. The most important thing is that the dishes inside are very exquisite and delicious. Small portions are available. That time, two of my friends bought a set meal from Meituan, which cost only 128 yuan. It included a total of nine dishes including fruit and dessert. Of course, the fruit and dessert are two per serving. You can change the dishes in the set menu if you don't like it. Meituan also has 25% off vouchers, but the packages and vouchers cannot be used at the same time.

Shanghai is a tourist city worth visiting and suitable for seeing the world. I particularly like the traffic lights near the Bund.
