Today’s travel diary is written by a breeder

I still remember that I was only 7-8 years old at that time. The Central Television Station aired a TV series called "Debt". The ending song included the line "Beautiful Xishuangbanna, I can't keep my dad. Shanghai is so big, is there any My home...", the melody is simple and catchy. Everyone who has watched it will probably hum a few lines. Although I have no impression of the plot of this TV series, "Xishuangbanna" is very "beautiful" but it is deeply imprinted in my mind.

In September 2017, Little Fat Girl and I traveled to Yunnan. Our biggest regret was that we were not able to see the beauty of Xishuangbanna. So much so that the first important goal of my "Woyou" life is set here. Although there are many memorable places on my "Woyou" journey, Xishuangbanna is still what I look forward to the most.

After finishing my work last night, I put Brother Chen to sleep. Little Fat Girl and I watched a long-lost movie on the computer and stayed up late. I also slept in during a wandering trip for the first time, and it was only at nine o'clock in the morning. get up.

After Brother Chen got up, we had a simple breakfast, and the family of three planned to go to today's destination "Manting Park".

I discovered some bad things during the trip. Although Xishuangbanna is a famous tourist city, the city appearance is not neat and tidy. Instead, it is a bit messy. It is really difficult to adapt to its reputation. It is worse than the Pu'er city we just left. A lot.

This is an alley only 300 meters away from the famous 4A-level scenic spot Manting Park. Waste and garbage are still piled up, and the lines inside the alley are also extremely messy.

The Manting Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, not far from Manting Park, is different from the bustling crowds in other religious places. This temple is very small and low-key. Only when you get closer to the Buddha statue can you know that this very small temple has also been visited by people. Passed by the eminent monk and left the relics.

There are no monks in the lobby, and the merit box that is so conspicuous in almost every temple is hard to find here. Only the free incense candles remind people that "incense" is also needed here.

Brother Chen saw the pony here and couldn't put it down for a while.

Since the sun in Xishuangbanna was very "scorching" at noon, we decided to finish lunch first and then go to Manting Park. We have tried the taste of the Dai people too many times, so we had a long-lost meal of Sichuan Maocai. Although it was not authentic, the little fat girl and I still enjoyed the meal very much. It seems that Sichuan taste is more suitable for us.

The little creatures we saw at the entrance of Manting Park were not afraid at all when they saw us. They seemed to tell people that this place is beautiful and harmonious.

Manting Park is the oldest park in Xishuangbanna, with a history of more than 1,300 years. It used to be the royal garden of the Dai king of Xishuangbanna, but now it has become a popular tourist destination and is open to everyone. It is in line with the poem "In the old days, the king's swallow in front of the hall flew into the homes of ordinary people."

The ticket to Manting Park is 40 yuan, and it costs 32 yuan to purchase it with a mobile phone Yunnan Travel APP. It is considered a relatively affordable attraction.

The first time I saw a betel nut tree, I didn’t expect it to have such a slender figure.

Brother Chen was seduced by his little sister again. I can guarantee that this was definitely not the case when I was a child.

In the Dai Intangible Culture Exhibition Hall, look at this huge elephant foot drum. Brother Chen had no problem climbing in from behind.

The splendid Dai Palace all shows the wealth of the Dai dynasty in Xishuangbanna.

The hollow walls are more suitable for the climate here.

Brother Chen is also interested in shiny things.

The buildings of the Dai Palace are all made of wood. Although they cannot be compared with the wooden buildings in the Central Plains in terms of size, they are no less sophisticated and complex.

The 25-meter-high bay leaf palm is often planted around temples and can only be seen in Xishuangbanna in my country.

Such a huge rubber tree is completely different from the similar ones planted in flower pots in Xinjiang.

Brother Chen who has to climb the steps by himself

There is soothing green everywhere

The white pagoda without the Buddha statue seems to have a story.

Dad, this dragon is drooling

The hazy earth goddess is a famous patron saint in Buddhism

Another huge temple, Jinghong Buddhist Temple, is said to be the center of worship for Buddhist believers in Xishuangbanna.

Draw lots to measure good or bad luck.

He was snatched away by Brother Chen, okay, you take the test

Buddha's light shines everywhere

Brother Chen is very interested in the swans and small fish in the river.

I saw elephants again, and I always have a natural awe for these behemoths.

Today, I, a seven-foot tall man, was "molested" by an eight-year-old elephant in full view of broad daylight.

When his trunk hit my leg, I felt every hair on my body stand on end, and every cell began to tense up, fearing that he would hit a sensitive spot. No matter what I was afraid of, I finally came a few times and luckily nothing happened. I still feel like I’m still in shock!

Our plan for tomorrow is to continue wandering around without a plan. Goodnight everybody!
