Our stop last night was in a hotel parking lot, surrounded by jade processing shops. People were already coming and going at around 7 o'clock in the morning.

It is less than one kilometer away from Jiegao Port. Trade between the two countries is frequent, shops are bilingual, and Burmese people wearing skirts can be seen everywhere on the street.

We walked all the way to Jiegao Port. Sun Dasheng saw us from a distance and came to pick us up, hahaha, but it was a pity that Brother Chen was not on the road.

There is also a Burmese girl who carries a plate here all year round and makes a living by taking photos with tourists.

The staff told us that we could only find a tour guide through a travel agency and take us to the other side of the port. Tourists were not allowed to go through immigration procedures alone. A one-day trip to Myanmar through a travel agency will cost at least four to five hundred. For the three of us, it will cost more than one thousand. It is too much over budget. I will go to Myanmar again when I have the opportunity in the future.

Next to the port is "Tianya Dijiao", the terminus of National Highway 320, backed by the Ruili River and opposite Muse City in Myanmar.

A port dedicated to the entry and exit of motor vehicles

Next to the port is the 1.5-kilometer-long Zhongmian Street.

The section in my country is called "China-Myanmar Friendship Street", and the section in Myanmar is called "White Elephant Street" by border residents.

China and Myanmar are only separated by a network

This is where it gets interesting. On the other side of the barbed wire, there are many Burmese people setting up stalls selling a variety of products, including cigarettes, food, tiger oil, rheumatism ointment, hand cream, etc.

I was stunned at first. How could such an operation be done right next to the checkpoint? ! !

Later, local people told us that because China and Myanmar have long-term good relations and do not distinguish between each other, the Jiegao Border Trade Zone also has the best soft and hard environment in Yunnan Province, the most openness, the highest import and export trade volume, the largest cargo throughput, and the largest number of entry and exit personnel. With the most ports, this phenomenon is just a microcosm of the prosperous trade between the two countries.

We just passed by and asked about the price, and the lady boss enthusiastically stepped on the stool and stood on tiptoe to hand us a handful of candies from the top of the barbed wire fence. She really knew how to do business.

Out of curiosity, we bought three bags of candy for 20 yuan, and the lady boss gave Brother Chen a bag of wafer cookies. Experienced a different cross-border "online" business, haha!

On the way back from the port, I saw many clothing stores, which were really cheap.

Passing by a small square, Brother Chen and his little brother took turns playing "Twirl in Circles". The young Chen already knew how to let the children younger than him, "Mom, my brother is so cute, I want him to play first!"

I found a Dai beauty that he secretly photographed in the breeder's photo album. How should I punish him?

"Mom! Come sit down and rest!"

We had lunch at Brother Yin’s house again. We were in such a hurry that we didn’t have time to take pictures. I really want to thank Brother Yin and his family for taking good care of us, not only letting us eat but also taking care of Brother Chen for us and worrying about our gas and water... As a postscript, here is a tourist photo of Sister Yin!

There is a temple near where we are stationed. I can't understand the words written on the door. Fortunately, there are Chinese characters for "Jie Gao Zangfang" in the courtyard.

A zangfang is commonly referred to as a temple, which generally refers to a Theravada Buddhist temple. It is a place where Buddhists become monks and practice Buddhism. It is also a place where the host (locally known as "Lao Buddha") preaches scriptures. The most prominent position in the zangfang is dedicated to the Buddha statue. .

On the way, I took the wrong path and mistakenly entered the courtyard of the rental house.

People who sell things here like to hang them in a bunch like this. Bulk items are packed in plastic bags in advance and sold in "bags".

Dinner, Burmese cuisine. The hotel has a very good environment and is a great place to take photos.

This is the Burmese people's own "cosmetics", which they call "Tenaka". It is actually a high-quality and low-cost natural sunscreen and beauty cream made by the Burmese people from local materials. Its scientific name is "yellow neem powder".

The breeder ground it wrong, it should have been ground bark. Mix bark powder and water and apply it on your face to prevent mosquitoes and sun, as well as beautify your face.

It’s time to eat!

The stir-fried wild mushrooms are said to be stir-fried, but it feels like cold salad, but they are delicious, especially the porcini mushrooms. At first glance, I thought they were offal, but after one bite, they taste great!

Lemon fish, a Thai dish, is more common and suitable for people who want to lose weight.

Burmese crab, stir-fried with curry, is also delicious and suitable for children.

Ghost Chicken, a special delicacy of the Jingpo ethnic group. The Jingpo people have the habit of offering chickens to ghosts and gods. After offering sacrifices to ghosts and gods, they shred the chicken and mix it with spicy millet, coriander, lemon, etc. and eat it in the wild. The natural lemon fragrance and the freshness of coriander are integrated into the chicken, and the sour aroma wakes up the stomach.

My disc, my glory!

Tonight, in the aforementioned sister's postpartum room, the local Dai people gathered together to celebrate the Dai New Year.

The New Year's Eve bonfire party is about to start, we have to go there quickly, friends, see you tomorrow!
