Travel Notes | 5-Day Tour to Xishuangbanna

Before departure, I took the time to sort out the list of things to bring during my busy schedule. Even my luggage was sorted out in the early morning. I really am a very insecure person, and I seem to lose things if I don’t write them down. (The list is for reference only)

The travel notes are also illogical, and the entire article is collectively referred to as Xishuangbanna Sui Sui Nian. First, I’ll talk about transportation, then I’ll take a plate of the attractions/places I’ve been to, and finally I’ll take a plate of food and miscellaneous items.

Number of people traveling: 14 people (13 adults and 1 child).

Travel method: Some scenic spots in Banna are far away from the city. There are many of us, so we rented two 7-seater commercial vehicles on Ctrip.

Car rental time:14:00 on the 7th-14:00 on the 10th.

Cost: Vehicle fee is 540 yuan/vehicle/3 days, insurance is 300 yuan/vehicle/3 days; the incidental gas expenses and tolls incurred in the rest of the trip are about 1,000 yuan, and the final local transportation cost in Banna is about 200 yuan per person .

Note: There are many, many indigenous car rental companies in Banna. Those who have time and energy can choose slowly. Because some scenic spots are really far away, it is okay to take a taxi from the city, but returning to the city may not be smooth. You can also choose public travel. Jinghong Bus Station also has shuttle buses to various attractions every day (see Ctrip or other travel platforms).

Dai Garden + Manyuan Village (Mushroom House)

Dai Garden (opening hours: 8:00-18:00)

When doing the guide before, everyone said that you can choose either Dai Garden or Manzhang Village. I didn’t go to Manzhang Village, so I could only talk about Dai Garden.

cost:

Tickets are 45 yuan, and tour buses in the park are 40 yuan, totaling 85 yuan.

Overall feeling:

Since our trip basically didn’t take half a day in the morning, we went straight to Splashing Water Square in the afternoon. The Dai Nationality Garden is not very big, and there is not much to play. If you have enough time, you can stroll around slowly (but it will be too hot in the sun). I would like to call it a collection of Dai nationality villages.

About splashing water:

There are two water-splashing activities at 13:30 and 15:30. You can choose the time period according to your own itinerary. Then, say important things three times! ! Photograph! Photograph! Photograph! Be sure to do it before splashing water. After splashing water, you can't take pictures at all hahahahaha. I don't know why my hair and makeup are gone.

Since I had no plans to bring extra clothes, I bought the well-known Dai girl clothes at the entrance of the park for 50 yuan. Splashing water is 30 yuan (including splash basin + locker). The sanitary environment is really average, but splashing water is really fun. It's so fun, you can be splashed to death, and your clothes can be splashed off.

You can bring a change of clothes as needed, including disposable towels/underwear, etc.~

About others:

We also took a look at the Mekong River. The yacht sales are very serious, so you can really just take a look. We didn't have much else to do. There are many fruit sellers in the park, they are cheap and I love them. My pretty sister can go to Manchunman Buddhist Temple. It looks great for taking pictures, but I didn’t go.

Manyuan Village (Mushroom House)

You can directly search for "Mushroom House" on the map. It takes about half an hour to drive from the Dai Nationality Garden. Banna is so naive and I loved it all the way.

cost:

You will be charged 10 yuan to enter the village, and 20 yuan to enter the mushroom house.

Overall feeling:

Good looking, comfortable and cozy. I want to rush into the rice fields at the door and sit in the yard all afternoon, just looking at the flowers in the yard and the rice outside. Press navigation to enter the village. If you can't find the way, you can ask the villagers and they will help you with directions. It's all really good.

BABI BOOM Party Bar

If I have to sum it up, it’s that Dai Di is really too high-spirited, and his happiness has no limits hahahahahaha.

23:45, highlight moment!

However, most of the bars in Banna are middle-aged men. Although this is my second time disco dancing in my life, the age group is indeed higher than that in Hangzhou hahaha. Everything else was OK, except that I was really tired from disco dancing, and I fainted from exhaustion, and my ears couldn’t function all night after the disco dancing.

Wangtianshu

Wangtian Tree/One of the three largest tropical rainforests in the world/There are many, many small bugs/Nanla River/Canopy Sky Corridor/All-terrain vehicles/Exotic tropical plants/Colorful trees, grass and flowers/My poor vocabulary can only describe it "It's really hard to poke"!

We were persuaded to return twice along the way. It was really twists and turns. We kept having to register information and report to the tour group. It was from scorching sun to heavy rain along the way. It was already 3 pm when we arrived at Wangtianshu. I rushed back to Gaozhuang from sunset to sunset.

Driving distance:

We started from Gaozhuang Scenic Area and drove for about 3 hours one way.

Tickets:

The entrance ticket is 40, the one-way ride is 40 (enter by boat), the tree climb is 120, and the on-site package is 198. If you buy it in advance on a certain platform, there will be some discounts.

All terrain vehicle:

Single person 150 yuan/person/car, 230 yuan/2 people/car, lasts about half an hour, must play, must play! So cool! Traveling through the rainforest and mud, I felt like I was overturning my car every minute, hahahaha.

Canopy Corridor:

Built on the Wangtian tree, it is 36m high and the entire site is about 500m. It was okay at first, but there was a particularly long section in the middle that made me cry. Then there’s me: the mask of pain, the dilemma. In the middle there will be a video shot by a drone (80 yuan/segment) and photos taken (the photos were given by Brother Yun to me who is afraid of heights, I don’t know how much they cost yet)

Chinese Academy of Sciences Botanical Garden

Full name: Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden, Chinese Academy of Sciences

Driving distance:

We started from Gaozhuang Scenic Area and drove for about 1 hour one way. Because everyone chose to sleep in on the last day, there were only 4 girls in our group. Chartering a car cost 450 yuan (round trip). This is the price of a 7-seater, and a normal 5-seater should be cheaper.

Tickets:

80 yuan/person, battery car in the botanical garden 45 yuan/person, various combination packages are available for purchase on a certain platform.

Temperature difference (emphasis added):

We arrived at the Botanical Garden at about 9 o'clock. The fog was very heavy and the body temperature was still relatively low. I, the person wearing a sling, froze to death in the morning, and it was me, the person wearing a sling, who died from the sun at 11 o'clock. It was a complete collapse.

Photo check-in points:

any! Point! The botanical garden is so beautiful to photograph, including lotus lily/pink paper fan flower/lonely tree/hot air balloon/palm garden/everything! Every tree is truly stunning.

Overall feeling:

There are many scenic spots inside, and you can take a battery car in the scenic area to go there. You can take a leisurely stroll if you are not in a hurry. We bought tickets + battery tickets for the West District. Most of the attractions are in the West District. Because we were in a hurry, we did not go to the East District. The white skirt is really amazing, but I didn’t wear it because it was too dark, hahahaha, for fear of getting darker.

I can’t write anymore, so I’ll hit a few key points.

01 Big breast snacks🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The proprietress eats a treasure in one bite, it is sweet and sweet, I love it to death, the more I eat, the better I feel. It's a small store with only 4 small tables, but the lady boss is really nice and cute! It is not recommended to eat if there are many people, you won’t be able to sit down hahahaha.

[Vietnamese rolled noodles] is listed as my favorite, I ordered two plates hahahaha.

[Mango Sticky Rice] Added soy milk powder, the taste is subtle, eat it slowly, the soy milk powder is very spicy.

[Milk Tea/Coffee] Just average, not amazing.

02 Jiansuzhai🌟🌟🌟🌟

Except for cilantro, everything else is delicious. If you don’t eat scallions and cilantro, coming to Banna is really the scene of a car accident and a disaster on earth. Maybe it’s because I’m not used to the Dai flavor in Banna. When I eat Dicos, it tastes like Dai spices hahahaha. But overall it’s still amazing. After all, I am a person who loves novelty. When ordering, you can directly refer to the Dianping rankings. Personally, I don’t feel like I’m overstepping the mark.

03 Chonburi🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟Full!

I originally wanted to write a 10,000-word essay praising Chonburi, but I was too sleepy555. What a good store, it touched my heart countless times! ! !

About queuing:

You can queue at any time, but numbers will be officially allocated starting at 11 o'clock. We queued there around 10:30, and we were almost in the third batch, and we ate around 13:30.

Details about Chonburi that hit me:

The down-to-earth but extremely sincere text on the queue list/The hopelessly cute menu/The tasteful decoration and environment/The patient and lovely waiters/The sincerity of freeing the order when it rains while eating al fresco/ The romance of having lunch under an umbrella (maybe because the person sitting opposite is Levin)/all kinds of sincerity are their greatest skills.

About the dishes:

We ordered Lemon Sugar Chicken Wings/Miled Tofu/Milk Tom Yum Seafood Soup/Ice Lychee (a drink, I forgot what it was called)/Chonburi Three Brothers/Mian Mian Ice. Not a single one is too bad, the price is not high, I love it even more.

04 Cool Tai🌟🌟🌟🌟

I don’t know why I always think this store is called “Dai Ku/Ku Dai” hahahaha. The restaurant is very cost-effective. We only ate for about 30 yuan per person, and the dishes were all delicious, except for the shredded cucumber which was so spicy that it took off. Hahahaha.

05 Liu Yan BBQ🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

[Passionfruit Boiled Fish] Friends who like sour and spicy food, this dish is amazing. There are a bit too many fish bones, but the soup is really good. Passion fruit flavored fish in gold soup? worth!

The other skewers and dishes are also good, highly recommended!

Missing thoughts

Banna is a city that is not hot but very sunny, so be sure to wear sunscreen.

By the way, remember to buy cooked eggs.
