Pacific Coast Highway

Hana Highway (52 miles)

 

This is probably the most popular car tour in the Hawaiian Islands. The 60-mile road from Kahului to Hana takes you along Maui's east coast, passing by the ocean and jungle on a road surrounded by beautiful scenery.

The road is not easy and requires some driving experience: the highway will have about 600 turns and cross 59 bridges, but the trip is worth it! You will find beach pearls, black sand beaches, majestic waterfalls, lush green plants and colorful roadside stalls all over the place. Don’t forget to bring your camera and swimsuit!

Overseas Highway to Key West, FL (170 miles)

There's more to South Dakota's Black Hills than panoramic views of Mount Rushmore. Drive along the scenic Badlands Road and visit Custer State Park, Wind Cave National Park, and the infamous Wall Drug Mall Stay. These are just a few of the great places to visit on the way from Deadwood to Hot Springs. The Badlands' stunning sunsets and sunrises are even more breathtaking, but beware of bison that may appear on the road.

Blue Ridge Parkway

Starting point: Shenandoah National Park. End point: Asheville, North Carolina. The Blue Ridge Parkway is one of the most popular driving routes in the United States. The 469-mile stretch of scenery connects Virginia's Shenandoah National Park to North Carolina's Great Smoky Mountains and is the most visited place in the U.S. National Park System.

Stops along the way include Skyline Drive, a road along the ridge that is especially beautiful in the fall; Luray Karst Caves, Natural Bridge, and the Asheville Visitor Center.
