Another very famous attraction in Qinghai Province is the Chaka Salt Lake, which is also known as the "land of the sky in China". In fact, there are many large and small salt lakes in China located in Qinghai and Xinjiang. I went to Xinjiang on a business trip a long time ago. On the highway You can see the dazzling white color of the Salt Lake in the distance, and there are no tourists at all. I was too busy with work at the time and was really not in the mood, so I didn’t stop the car, haha.

Emerald Lake: This trip got what we wanted at a salt lake called Emerald Lake, it was so beautiful! Emerald Lake is located in the Haiyang Mongolian and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. It is the collective name for a large undeveloped salt lake. There are not many tourists and no tickets are required. It is just beside the highway. The bus took us to play in small sections: we parked directly at a certain section of the lake. After playing in several nearby lakes, we drove a little further and played again. If we still feel that we still have more to enjoy, we drove back to the lake we just visited. In short, we just played until we didn’t want to move.

This is the lake closest to the roadside. There is a big stone standing on the roadside, indicating that it is an emerald lake. There are relatively more tourists in this area. Some scattered businessmen rent out clothes, boats, swings, hanging chairs, etc. for tourists to take photos.

After the car drove in for a few minutes, there were a lot fewer tourists on the lakeside. It was really a salty white lake with blue sky. Against the backdrop of the blue sky and white clouds, it was so beautiful that I couldn't describe it in words. I put on my skirt and slippers and got off directly. Go to the lake, haha, happy

At dusk, there are few tourists and the lake is as quiet as a mirror. It is truly a "land in the sky".

When I first arrived, I saw a large salt lake. I was so excited that I changed my clothes and took pictures under the scorching sun. I was very hot and tired before I gave up. After looking through the photos, I realized that the white salt, bright sky and lake water were all too dazzling. Yes, it is really difficult to take portraits when the light ratio is high, especially when you want to take into account reflections. It is simply impossible. The photos taken are either too blown out or have dark faces. . . Alas, the level is still too poor.

On the other hand, at dusk, the light is soft and the lake is quiet, which is the best time to take portraits and reflections. But people are too tired to change clothes and can’t laugh, so just take pictures of tourists.

After waiting for several hours, it was finally sunset time (the sun sets at 8:40 every day in Qinghai at the end of July)

Difficult journey: shows the most beautiful scenery, but also records the hardships and imperfect parts of the journey. This time, in order to see the Salt Lake, we really had to climb mountains and cross the ocean. We took the bus all the way up the mountain early in the morning and made more than a dozen turns. They were all washboard roads. We finally crossed the highest pass on this trip in the dust. Dongshu Mountain Pass, 4120m above sea level - a veritable climb over mountains and ridges. Some people on the bus couldn't bear the high altitude and bumps and vomited. One person even got sick and went straight back home!

Chaka Lake and Jade Lake are both located in Haixi Prefecture. I finally figured out that Haibei Prefecture and Haixi Prefecture are located to the north and west of Qinghai Lake and got their names. So after seeing the rapeseed flowers in Haibei, I wanted to go to Haibei Prefecture. In the west, we will go around almost 1/4 of Qinghai Lake, which counts as "crossing the ocean", but the weather is not good, it rains, rains, and is cold when we cross the lake. This is the second time I have been to Qinghai Lake. I saw Qinghai Lake last time on the train from Lhasa to Xining. This time I had to get off the train and stroll around for a while. The lake was foggy, so I could only take pictures of the small wild flowers on the roadside. They were far away. You can make up your own mind about the lake here.

Chaka Salt Lake: After riding for more than eight hours, running around all day, and playing around for ten minutes, we finally arrived at Chaka Salt Lake in the wind and rain. . . It is obviously an over-developed tourist attraction. The salt worn by tourists has turned khaki, and the lake water is also yellow in the wind and rain. Moreover, you have to take a car and walk hard to get from the entrance of the attraction to the lake. I am so disappointed that I almost cried. . . I tried hard to take a few photos in the wind and rain.

Wusu Te Water Yadan:

Another disappointing attraction was not that the scenery was not good enough, but that the weather was not favorable. I got up early to prepare to take photos of the sunrise over the water, but as soon as I arrived at the lake, it started to rain. It was windy and rainy. It really made me want to cry. tears. . . Take a look at the tour map. It’s so spectacular. It’s a pity. Do you want me to come to Qinghai again with some regrets?

G315 National Highway in the Qaidam Basin U-shaped highway , all the way to the Gobi Desert, the road is straight, uninhabited, lonely and alternative beauty (Qinghai Province regulations do not allow parking on the roadside to take photos after mid-August)
