I also want to spend the holidays here

Merry Christmas

🎄

If there is one of the busiest places in the Pearl River Delta, I think it should be Hong Kong.

As an important international tourist city, in addition to the holidays brought by the program itself, the discount season of various shopping malls in Hong Kong is also coming at the same time. So for the Cantonese people who are close to Hong Kong, "Let's go to Hong Kong for Christmas" has become an important opportunity for sisters, sisters, or the whole family to make a small trip.

Since I can't leave during the working day, I can't stay in Hong Kong for the weekend. Otherwise, I really want to go to Hong Kong to experience the Christmas atmosphere. However, my local treasure KO sister from Shenzhen came to WeChat Moments for a live broadcast in a very "loyal" manner.

If you are interested, you might as well take a look at how KO, a frequent visitor of mine, checked out the Christmas-filled places in Hong Kong on Christmas Eve.

Inserted into the article that KO sister appeared before, if you are interested, please click 👇

Shenzhen | Shenyip Uptown Is it Monument Valley or Lego City? Or is it a surreal Inception space?

Shenzhen | T-ONE: There is nothing fun here, but you can take away a bunch of photos that belong to you.

Here we go.

J: How many points did you hit in total for the Christmas theme this time?

Because as a non-resident school teacher, my time is different from that of you office workers, and I have relatively free time.

(Zuki is seriously jealous!)

In addition, I live in Shenzhen, so the distance and transportation to Hong Kong are very advantageous. So I took the time to go there twice.

Every time I set out after lunch on a working day, I visited six o'clock in total, and my schedule was very relaxed and free. These points are

Most of these spots are square decorations or light exhibitions, which are not as time-consuming and physical as other outdoor activities. After taking a leisurely photo shoot, you can also go to the nearby shopping mall to hang out and eat.

J: After playing the game overall, how do you think the actual situation compares with the online introduction? Which one is the most impressive or highly rated?

As for which one is the most fun, I personally prefer this year’s Disney Tsum Tsum at Langham Place.

Mickey transformed into Santa Claus, the characters were made into Christmas trees, and an eye-catching giant light bulb bounty was placed over the square. As soon as I saw it, I fell in love with it.

The whole shape and color are really healing, all the figures are of amazing quality, and there are also many peripheral products such as Christmas light bulb hangings and mini figures. When I came here, the girl’s childlike innocence index was soaring!

A neon light tunnel composed of multiple cartoon characters. When you look up, you can see the cute Disney characters designed with neon tubes!

It is said that the night scene mode is great, but unfortunately I did not wait for the night scene mode before heading to the next stop. I hope all Disney fans will check in and share.

Andthere are still many things to buy around Langham Place. After having fun here, it’s not far from Tsim Sha Tsui.

Zuqi tips:

Langham Place is located on Portland Street in Mong Kok, Hong Kong. It is a famous landmark building in the area and is also a large-scale three-in-one shopping mall, hotel and office industry in mainland China. Located in the heart of Mong Kok, it is extremely popular.

This year’s theme: Disney’s “TSUM TSUM Christmas Market”

Exhibition time: November 14, 2018 - January 6, 2019

Rail transit: MTR Mong Kok Exit E1

And Harbour City. Because the entire Christmas decoration style of Harbor City last year was awesome, I was attracted to come here this year. However, I haven’t seen the night view version yet, and the online picture is indeed similar to the daytime version.

From a distance, you can already see the60-foot-tall giant outdoor Christmas treein Hong Kong, which is very atmospheric. There is also a Christmas music and light show in the evening. The shining of 200,000 LED lights is set against the beautiful scenery of Victoria Harbor next to it. It is really brilliant!

The Christmas bridge built this year is decorated with many love locks. But this is not a lover's lock and a lover's bridge, but a public welfare activity.

If you want to write your wish on the lock and hang it, you need to donate $20, and then you can choose the heart lock in the color you like.

Each color represents a different category of wishes, such as health, love, money, etc. I hope that every little cutie who expresses his love and wishes will have his dream come true.

In addition, there will be Santa Claus Meet and Greet . By donating a certain amount, you can get the opportunity to take photos with Santa Claus under several giant Christmas trees.

It is said that there is also a self-printed postcard printer .

Just select the photo and continue printing, and your exclusive postcard will be ready immediately. Write and send it immediately after coming out. It can be sent to various addresses at home and abroad for free.

Another highlight of Harbor City this year is the world’s largest image kaleidoscope . It is also that you can enter with a donation ticket (50 Hong Kong dollars). The staff will arrange for each group of people to "book the venue" individually for ten minutes in order.

However, 10 minutes is not enough when taking photos seriously. Apart from the camera parameters, you are afraid of standing in the wrong C position and missing an ever-changing moment. So I’m telling you secretly, after entering, don’t be too curious and keep walking forward. The place is only small, and the place where you enter is the best place. Get your camera ready and wait for the music to start and the lights to shine. Feel free to shoot.

Zuqi tips:

When it comes to shopping, I really prefer Harbor City ~ because the place is large and regular, and there are many categories of things. Even if I can't afford it, it's still fun to see it~ The most important thing is, I really like the fresh milkcoffee from agnes.b here. A must drink every time I come here!

This year’s theme: Harbor City Light Show | Christmas Image Kaleidoscope

Exhibition time: November 16, 2018 - January 1, 2019

Rail transit: Tsim Sha Tsui Station Exit A1, East Tsim Sha Tsui Station L5

After you finish taking photos and take a break, you can go to Causeway Bay near the ladyM store and take photos at the Christmas knitted railing (Zu Qi: I like this so much!!!)

Last year there was this super cute street knitted handmade Christmas decoration in Causeway Bay, which was loved by the general public and tourists at the time. So this year we improved it a bit and made a comeback.

Cats and dogs look very cute. These handmade knitted products must be very time-consuming and labor-intensive, so please remember to take good care of them when taking photos!

After taking the photo, you can have a delicious mille-feuille at LADY M (normally you have to queue up) sort out the photos and check your circle of friends.

If lady M recommends which one you order, of course it would be... none. Everyone's taste is different. I prefer caramel sea salt mille-feuille but I can’t find it here. There is caramel in Shatin, it’s a must-try.

This time my best friend and I ordered the rose flavor and the chestnut , but maybe it wasn’t to my best friend’s liking. The famous cakes don't get very good reviews here either. That’s why I say everyone’s taste is different.

This year’s theme: Fashion Walk knitted handmade Christmas decorations

Exhibition time: December 1, 2018 to January 2, 2019

Rail transit: Causeway Bay Station, search Fashion Walk in navigation

The next stop is recommended to take the subway back to Wan Chai to check in Wedding Invitation Street.

I love it here (Zoo Qi loves it too!!) The famous Christmas lights on Regent Street in London, UK, are coming to Hong Kong for the first time.

The whole street is not long, but it is especially smelly at night.

Looking up, it’s like actually seeing the arrival of the Archangel of Christmas . There are orchestra accompaniments, art exhibitions, and the streets are decorated with lights and colorful decorations. It seems that we have arrived at the European New Year.

It’s really delicious to shoot a video and pair it with Angela Tse’s version of background music (Wedding Invitation Street) . It is said that there is a spectacular scene of falling snow on weekend evenings, but unfortunately I went there on a weekday and could not see it.

Zuqi tips:

Wedding Invitation Street, as the name suggests, is really the gathering place for Hong Kong's print production and stores. Although I have heard about it for a long time, I have never been there. I hope I can see "Archangel" once.

This year’s theme: The spirit of Christmas

Exhibition time: November 16, 2018 - December 31, 2018

Rail transit: Exit A3 of Wanchai Station, MTR

Next, let’s talk about the Doraemon theme exhibition which is more time-consuming. The secret props laboratory, memory bread, time machine and any door, everything from the comic books when I was a child is before my eyes.

My younger brother is a Doraemon fan. Taking advantage of this opportunity, he finally took countless photos with Shizuka (Zuqi: ?? Why not take crazy photos with Doraemon?)

But the distance is really quite remote, so I don’t recommend going if you don’t have a lot of time. Precisely because it is so far away, almost no one goes there to check in. There are really very few people. You can hold Nobita and shoot again and again. If you don’t get a good shot, you can keep trying again. No one will bother you until your face becomes paralyzed.

Zuqi tips:

Olympian City, where this exhibition is located, is a complex of buildings within the West Kowloon Reclamation Area. If this is your first time visiting, you probably won’t choose this “colder” place. So whether you choose to go or not is a matter of opinion.

This year’s theme: Doraemon’s Secret Prop Laboratory

Exhibition time: November 20, 2018 - January 1, 2019

Rail transit: Exit D of Olympic Station

Finally, let’s talk about the noble and gorgeous style 1881.

In fact, the visual effect of 1881 is quite colorful and retro . But compared to the previous beautiful decorations, I personally don’t think this year’s ones are particularly stunning. Therefore, its recommendation index is not very high. But since it’s here, let’s release it for your reference.

Don’t think that since Christmas is over, it’s too late to go see it? No. Many exhibitions are available at the end of December or even the beginning of January, and if you go after the holidays, you can travel at different times , to achieve good results for playing and shooting. Plus, traveling to Hong Kong is getting easier and easier now, so don’t give up!

Zuqi tips:

Hong Kong 1881 Heritage is a relatively classical square in Tsim Sha Tsui. The conventional exterior design is that the decoration tends to be medieval European style, and its artistic theme is also more gorgeous and elegant.

This year’s Christmas theme is: Winter Royal Gifts

Exhibition time: November 9, 2018 - January 6, 2019

Rail transit: MTR Tsim Sha Tsui Exit E)

J: If I want to check in one by one, what would be a more appropriate arrangement on the route?

1. Starting point (Ko usually passes through Sheung Shui) to Tsim Sha Tsui Exit E and go to 1881 Plaza to take photos

2. Walk a few steps across the road, continue to Harbor City, buy a ticket for Kaleidoscope and take photos (the above two places are right next to each other)

3. After you finish taking photos and take a break, you can go to Causeway Bay, Exit E, near the ladyM store, and come to the Christmas knitted railing to take photos and check in.

4. It’s almost dark. The next stop is to take the subway back to Wan Chai and check in at Wedding Invitation Street at night. The time is just right.

Basically, the above itinerary is scheduled for a full day.

The route continues to be planned, the following can be used as another route

5. Starting point (KO still prefers to start from Sheung Shui) Go to Mong Kok Exit E1 and arrive at Langham Place, Mong Kok (4th floor of Tongtian Plaza) Disney-themed Christmas exhibition.

6. Take Mongkok to the terminal Tung Chung Station , Exit C.

There is a Citygate here which is the largest outlet. More than 80 brands, as low as 20-30% off. Although it has nothing to do with Christmas, students who want to see Doraemon can stop by Tung Chung since they are so far away. It’s on the same line anyway.

7. Go to Tung Chung to Olympic Station Exit D and check in Olympian City Doraemon theme. (But actually, I don’t recommend 6 and 7 because after all, there are many people on weekends. If you want to go, just go to places worth visiting)

J: I would also like to hear other recommendations~for example, things like food and drinks

May I recommend the sushi served with water? It's really delicious. I eat a dozen or twenty times a year. The location is Fresh Sushi on the second floor of Sheung Shui Hui, super fresh.

The staff are constantly updating and replenishing the food, but there is not enough for customers to eat. On weekends, there are even more queues, especially during meal time. The dining time is limited to 40 minutes, and there is a huge discount. Basically, there are 8 mosquitoes per dish.

Students who love salmon will really enjoy this book (The first floor below is PARKnSHOP, where you can buy some daily necessities and so on. There are also Wellcome and many pharmacies nearby. But it is still recommended if you want to buy things, especially daily necessities. Put the supplies at the end, then your day of shopping and taking photos will be much easier)

J: After hearing this, I feel that I have gained a lot of information. But it looks like KO sister has something to add, so let’s continue!

Regarding navigation, in addition to the basically standard Amap, we recommend an app[Hong Kong MTR Pass], where you can enter the departure and arrival locations. You can clearly state the route you want to query. So convenient.

As for traffic, many girls ask how to navigate without traffic. This requires activation. You can no longer look for wifi. Open Alipay and select Hong Kong in Immigration. Buy traffic.

Generally, if you want to play for a day, I recommend buying the one with unlimited data for 18 yuan. There is another option which is 8 yuan 200M. If you need to navigate, search for subway routes, read Xiaohongshu and browse Weibo, then 200M will be a bit tight~

Another app is Pocket Hong Kong.

It is more diversified, with ️ discounted products and you can use coupons, as well as food, drinks, entertainment, subway route maps, performances, exhibitions, etc. In fact, you can browse this when you have free time. Maybe you see something you want to play, and you come over again if you don't agree with it!
