After coming out of Lenghu, we accidentally discovered the Dachaidan Devil City. We could make up for the Yadan that we missed when taking the 315 National Highway, so we decisively decided to go and have a look~
A quick trip along National Highway 215. Although the weather is not good, it is not easy to catch up with the few good weather conditions a year.
Dachaidan Devil City is right on the edge of Provincial Highway 210. It is not yet a scenic spot. I don’t know how many kilometers it stretches. Anyway, you can’t see the edge at a glance~
See the Devil's City from God's perspective. Although it looks small, it is actually very big.
There are ruts on the landform, indicating that off-road vehicles have entered this place before. The RV we drove will not go there~
I chose one that was easier to climb and went up to pose for a photo (PS: It was very windy!)
The ground of the entire Yadan landform is covered with this kind of hard soil, and strong winds of level 6 can hardly blow any dust.
From this angle, Yadan looks like a submarine, which is very spectacular.
When I boarded a relatively large Yadan, the wind blew me so hard that I could no longer stand still.
The entire Yadan is distributed on both sides of the highway. Friends who are interested can come and take a look.
The Yadan here belongs to the Qaidam Yadan landform group. It is a lake sediment from the late Tertiary Period and early Quaternary Period 75 million years ago. It was separated from the water body due to uplift due to geological movements. During this period, the salt and sand condensed in the earth's crust were blown by the westerly wind. Sculpted by erosion, this natural wonder is worth seeing!
