Liaoyang Wang Erlie Memorial Hall is a special memorial hall renovated based on the former residence of Wang Erlie, the famous "Guandong Talent" during the Qianlong and Jiaqing years. Wang Erlie is well-known for his poetry, calligraphy, and clever eloquence. He is the only Guandong native who entered the top four in the imperial examination in the entire Qing Dynasty. "Liaoyang County Chronicle" praised him as "a famous contemporary calligrapher in Cihan and the first person in the Qing Dynasty." . A total of more than 200 pieces of cultural relics, historical materials and photos related to it are displayed in the memorial hall. The Wang Erlie Memorial Hall is located at No. 206 Wusheng Road in the city center, covering an area of 3,250 square meters. The memorial hall was built on the basis of the "Hanlin Mansion" of his former residence. It is divided into two courtyards, east and west. It has horse stones, screen walls, gate towers, etc. It has three major exhibition rooms: life exhibition room, poetry and book exhibition room and former residence exhibition room. The exhibition introduces Wang Erlie's life story, displays his ink marks, scientific examination papers, articles and poems from different periods, and reproduces some scenes of his life.
