Character : Jun (juǎn) and I Jun (juǎn) Mi (mèi)

Why go?

This travel plan was finalized half a year before we set off.

I had the idea of traveling to Japan before college because I really like their culture and the preservation of traditional culture...

When I met and chatted with Junjunmi during the winter vacation, I found that we both wanted to go to Japan and neither of us wanted to join a group. So! It’s settled!

Then in June we started a series of detailed planning

Going out with Junjunmi feels very worry-free! She went to learn a lot of guides. She is really great. I want to give her a kiss here!

Things to do before traveling

Air ticket (decided in June)

Round-trip air ticket (tax included) booked on Ctrip: 2271 yuan/person

Itinerary: Chongqing☞Beijing☞Osaka☞Beijing☞Chongqing

PS: You must have no idea how nervous we were when we bought the tickets!

My hands are shaking!

Accommodation (decided in June)

Total accommodation fee: 956 yuan/person (7 days)

Manually recommend APP↓↓

After buying the plane tickets, we started looking for accommodation. According to our general itinerary, we finally chose Two nights in Osaka, five nights in Kyoto It took me a long time to choose. I recommend everyone Book early Many rooms will be booked in advance during the tourist season, so hurry up!!!

Many B&Bs in Japan have refrigerators, air conditioners, kitchens, and kettles for boiling water, etc. so it is very convenient. As for drinking water, we boil tap water anyway. Hmm...not poisoned, not dead, not having diarrhea...

Here are some (related) pictures of where we live.

▲Outside the window of Osaka room

▲The entrance to a room in Kyoto

▲Chai Chai near Kyoto House~

The one in Osaka is very small, just a small room, and you have to make your own bed, which is very Japanese style. Kyoto’s is great! It was hard to find it under the scorching sun. As soon as I entered, the air conditioner was on. The room was very big and it was so good! ! It’s still managed like a hotel, and there are foreigners living upstairs (we didn’t take any photos of the specific rooms... There is a video of the one in Kyoto, but it might scare you, because it’s very neat)

Transportation card & phone card (both from Soubao)

▲Transportation card

The transportation card needs to be recharged, and it can only be recharged with cash, just like Tianfutong. When I wrote this guide, I thought transportation cards were cheaper and more cost-effective, but I didn’t know until I showed Junjunmi the preview! I bought the transportation card because it is convenient to swipe the card ...and it is not cheaper to swipe the card , but the card can be refunded when leaving Japan, and it will also be refunded The deposit will be refunded if you don't go a second time.

However, there is still a difference between Kansai and Kanto cards . If going to Kansai, it is recommended to use ICOCA card ~ It is best for everyone to plan according to their own travel days and itinerary Buy.

So how much does it cost to recharge a transportation card? ? Then we need to mention another APP, which is Google Maps , where you can search for fares and departure times between each station. I will tell you this in detail in Part.2 or Part.3 of the guide, including the cosmeceutical purchases, itinerary arrangements, etc. that you want to know, which I will code out later . Please continue to pay attention~

The phone card we bought has unlimited traffic. The usage period is 8 days , but it cannot make calls. Of course, you can also buy one that can make calls.

Visa (200+ yuan/person)

We also found a travel agency in Moubao, and sent all the documents required for the visa, and received them very quickly. I remember it took about a week or two~

Consumption method

In some places in Japan, you can use Alipay and WeChat Pay. As for bank cards, UnionPay cards can be used in some places, but only credit cards and cash can be used in some places, such as some remote places in Kyoto. But I personally think that as long as you exchange enough cash, you don’t need to apply for a Visa card or something like that. A direct UnionPay card is also acceptable.

Cash exchange

The amount of cash you exchange depends on your consumption situation, and as mentioned above, many of them accept Alipay, so in fact you don’t need too much cash. However, the amount of recharge for the transportation card can only be paid in cash, so you still need to exchange enough .

Knock on the blackboard! Redeem early! Be sure to exchange it in China at least one week in advance. At this point, I really have angina pectoris, so I won’t go into details. If you want to know how painful it is, I’ll talk about it later.
