From Kyoto to Osaka

We finally came to the fourth day of the entire trip, and it was almost halfway.
Today is the fourth day in Kyoto, and I have to go to the next stop - Osaka before 4pm...
But the weather was really unpleasant. It started raining the night before and it didn’t stop. Originally we planned to go to Fushimi Inari Shrine in the morning, which is also a place I really want to go to. My female friend who was traveling with me actually wanted to rent a kimono there to experience it and asked me to take some photos for her. However, the weather was really disappointing, so I didn’t get to go to Fushimi Inari Shrine, experience kimono, and didn’t even take photos...
So this is actually a big regret in Kyoto...

Since it was raining, I basically spent the morning wandering around the nearby shrines.
From Gion to Heian Shrine, we also visited Chion-in Temple and Seoren-in Temple...and it was raining quite a bit along the way. It was really not easy to walk while holding an umbrella and holding a camera with one hand to take pictures. To be honest, I really didn’t have any desire to take pictures at that time, I just felt very depressed. Originally I really wanted to go to Qinglianyuan, but when I got to the door, I turned around and left...
So thinking about it, during these few days in Kyoto, I have had enough experience with shrines. I think it is really enough... I feel that when I mention Kyoto in the future, I will immediately associate it with shrines. I feel that Kyoto is a shrine and a shrine is Kyoto...

Ping'an Grand Shrine is indeed very large inside, and there is also a quite large garden, but there is a fee to enter.
It had been raining that day, but I was really not in the mood for anything, so even though I heard that the gardens inside the Heian Grand Shrine were quite beautiful, I still walked out the door silently in the end, with no desire to go in.

I only went to Tsutaya Bookstore when I was originally scheduled to go to Daikanyama in Tokyo, so I didn’t expect that there is also a branch in Kyoto. I went there and found that the scale inside is not small. I wanted to buy many books, but... I really didn’t want to. It would be silly to carry so many books with me for the next five days. After all, I still have to go to the main store in Daikanyama when I arrive in Tokyo...it won’t be too late to buy them by then.
The Tsutaya Bookstore in Kyoto is connected to a Starbucks, but it is mostly filled with middle-aged and elderly people. They gather leisurely in twos and threes to chat or have something to eat... Anyway, there are no young people inside.

The last lunch of the Kyoto trip. Steak Fried

I still walked around for two hours despite the rain, and I was very impressed.
It took 15 minutes to take the bus to Kiyomizudera Temple. After getting off the bus, I searched for a long time and found this fried steak restaurant. There are not many dishes in it, and they mainly focus on fried steak. I ordered a 250g yak steak, but the portion on the menu was only 150g. My language was not fluent and I had to communicate with the waiter and even the chef for a long time before confirming it...
I don’t actually like beef that much, so I think it’s just average, but I think people who like beef will be more satisfied if they come here...

Take this basically raw boiled egg,
Pour it directly into the rice and mix it for a super delicious taste! real!

Laidou.Dou Shiba Inu

I thought the Mameshiba Inu was a specialty of Kyoto, but it turns out it’s not...
The Mame Shiba Inu is just a smaller Shiba Inu breed bred among the Shiba Inu. It has nothing to do with the region... In fact, on the afternoon of my first day in Kyoto, I saw a shop specializing in teasing Shiba Inu dogs in a shopping street near Shijo. There are many Shiba Inu dogs inside, and customers pay to go in and play with the Shiba Inu dogs, take photos, etc. This is very attractive to people who like dogs and Shiba Inu dogs.
So Ms. Deer and her best friend who were traveling with us really wanted to go in, but they hesitated for a long time after looking at the price of 700 yen and didn’t go in, so they regretted it all the time... Then after lunch that day, they went out to Kiyomizudera Temple, and they saw me on the way. This Douchi shop couldn't control it anymore, saying that they couldn't return home with regrets...
I also followed in...
▼
I forgot that it seems like it costs 780 yen per person to stay there for 20 minutes, right?
There are about 8 Mameshiba Inu dogs inside (not sure how many...
The smell inside is quite strong, but if you are a dog owner, you shouldn't feel anything at all. It should be a smell that you are very accustomed to. The problem is that I discovered a problem. The Shiba Inu dogs inside would urinate and defecate everywhere. Although a special place was placed for them to solve the problem, this situation still occurred.
The two staff members at the scene had rags and detergents at hand, and they would immediately handle and disinfect the situation once it happened... Well... I really didn't feel very good after seeing this...

Kyoto. Kiyomizudera Temple

This is also a major attraction in Kyoto, so even if it rains, there are still crowds of people... But I still don't want to say anything, the largest main shrine is actually being renovated and maintained! The entire perimeter of the main hall has been enclosed and blocked by construction! You can't see anything. In fact, this place is a very famous and classic attraction...
But the attraction I wanted to see the most was also destroyed!
So disappointed...I don't even want to post the photos...

This stone at Jishu Shrine is very interesting. There is a walkway there. This stone is placed at one end of the walkway. About 50 meters away, there is another same stone at the other end of the walkway. Then you blindfold yourself from the stone at this end. Walk slowly towards another stone, and then stop when you feel you are almost there. If you can reach out and touch the other stone when you stop, then you will fall in love and get married in the near future. …
Isn’t that ridiculous?
But many people at the scene had a great time... and many of them were middle school and high school students...

After returning to the hotel from Kiyomizudera Temple, we picked up our luggage and rushed to the subway station to Kyoto Station.
At this point, I officially parted ways with my only friend who knew Japanese, and left Kyoto with an uneasy mood, preparing to go to Osaka and then Tokyo...
When passing Shijo Bridge, I saw the angry Kamogawa River. It felt completely different from the Kamogawa River I saw two days ago... There were also many people taking pictures and so on. I wondered at the time if no Japanese had ever seen such a big river. of water?
Two days later in Tokyo, I was scrolling through Twitter and found out that the heavy rain disaster in Kansai was much more serious than I thought... I also saw many people on Twitter taking photos about the heavy rain disaster, and then I realized that, as expected, People in Kyoto may not have seen such a huge flood in many years...

Osaka

I stood for almost 40 minutes on the JR express.
Arriving near Osaka Castle,
I dragged my suitcase and walked for 15 minutes in the rain to the pre-booked hotel...but the hotel room I originally booked was a double room. After communicating with the waiter in the hotel lobby, I successfully changed it to a double room.

It is an international practice to take a few photos of the environment when you arrive at the hotel.
This is the environment outside the floor-to-ceiling windows of the hotel. Opposite is actually Osaka Castle Park, and you can also see downtown Osaka. Although it is raining, the visibility is not bad, and it is already evening, so I have to take advantage of the last light to take a few pictures...
▼
The hotel is located in a new office building area, which is actually a bit far away from downtown Osaka, so there are not many people nearby and it is quiet. But the traffic is not laggy at all and is very convenient. There is a subway station about two minutes' walk from the hotel. There are several convenience stores and a relatively large shopping mall nearby, with complete dining and shopping.

Shinsaibashi and Dotonbori

The entire planned itinerary was basically in Kyoto and Tokyo. It was only in Osaka that I wanted to tour holy places on a whim, so I decided to intersperse one night in Osaka. In fact, the time was rather awkward. I didn’t arrive in Osaka until 5pm on the fourth day. I have to catch the Shinkansen to Tokyo at noon on the fifth day, so I only have one night to spend in Osaka...
Of course, according to the original plan, one night is definitely enough. After all, I just want to make a pilgrimage to Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi to see the background landmarks...
The problem is...it keeps raining! ! It’s extremely inconvenient. Not to mention taking pictures, you can’t just go shopping with an umbrella. In addition, Shinsaibashi Dotonbori is a popular attraction, and the huge crowds can drive people crazy!
▼
It was really inconvenient to hold the camera with one hand while holding an umbrella, and I was a little tired and hungry, so I basically didn’t have the mood or room to go shopping and take pictures. I could only take some pictures nearby while looking for food. Street scene at night…
▼
I originally wanted to try Ichiran Ramen, but I followed the map and walked through the streets and even came to the alley of someone's back kitchen. I found Ichiran Ramen and it was so popular that I had to wait 40 minutes... I turned around and left without hesitation. In the end, I really lost my temper and energy, so I just ate a tempura set meal to deal with it, and then went back to the hotel. It only took more than two hours...
Are you talking about going to Babel Tower? ? It's really depressing just thinking about it...
▼
Back to the hotel, I passed Laomai and bought a yogurt shake...
Unexpectedly, all my interest in Osaka was completely wiped out by the rain that wouldn't stop. When I got back to the hotel, I took advantage of the visibility in the outside air to take a few photos of the night view against the glass.
Then... let's take a shower and go to bed early...
