I have been skiing and skiing for two seasons in Chengdu.

Skiing snow doesn't actually cost much money or time, and accommodation can be provided at hotels in the town, which costs more than 100 a day. By taking two days off at the end of the week and flying at night, you can usually ski for 4 days, which is enough .

equipment

Novices only need to buy a small amount of equipment to go skiing.

1. Ski gloves: around 100, please pay attention to the kind with a wrist strap (preferably with a touch screen);

2. Snow socks: 7-80 is enough, don’t go after the brand;

3. Snow goggles: around 200;

4. Face protection: Anything between 7 and 80 will do;

5. Snowshoes: In fact, it is not impossible to rent a ski resort, but whether to buy shoes or not depends on the person. If you are a newbie, you can buy a double board for about 1,500, and a single board for about 1,000 is pretty good.

The remaining helmets and snowboards can be rented at the ski resort, which costs about dozens a day. You don’t need to buy any outerwear or pants, just wear an ordinary jacket. Calculated this way, it can be purchased within 1,500 (it’s cheaper not to buy shoes).

Recommended ski resorts (the ones I have been to, sorted by recommendation/city)

In the south, basically you have to go to the north to enjoy it.

1. Jilin City

I think Jilin is comparable to the second place, but Jilin is more convenient, especially XJ’s epidemic prevention policy is very strict.

The two ski resorts of Songhua Lake and Beidahu are enough for a week of skiing. Among them, Songhua Lake is more leisurely, while Beidahu Snow Trail is more difficult and has many experts. It is also better to stay in Songhua Lake, while there are few choices in Beidahu. Of course, staying at a ski resort is very expensive. If you are not too expensive, I recommend staying in Kouqian Town. It is very convenient to go to both places. There are a lot more choices for eating. Of course, it’s best to rent a car if you live in the town (it’s not more expensive than 100 a day, much cheaper than living in a ski resort)

2. Altay region

The snow quality at Jiangjun Mountain/Keketuohai is very good, unlike the two ski resorts 1 which may have ice. The disadvantage is that there are few snow paths. Accommodation is very convenient. You can just stay in Altay City/Kokotuohai Town, which is very cheap. In short, both tickets and accommodation and meals here are very cheap. If it were not for the strict epidemic prevention policy, this would be the first recommendation.

3. Zhangjiakou Chongli

There are many ski resorts, and Wanlong/Genting/Fulong are particularly recommended. There are many snow trails, the snow quality is average, and the wind is strong, so the tickets are much more expensive than the ones above. It is more expensive to live in a ski resort, so it is recommended to live in Chongli Town. There are many types of restaurants in town and they are cheap. There is no need to rent a car here, it is very close to the ski resort, and there is also a shuttle bus.

4. Aoshan, Shaanxi

I don’t think you need to go there specially. Overall it’s not bad, but the transportation is particularly inconvenient. It might be faster to go from Baoji. In particular, it often only accepts tourists from within the province, which is very discouraging.
