Walking on the lake is like entering a mirror world

In order to see the sunrise over Qinghai Lake, I got up at around five o'clock in the morning. In late April, the temperature difference between morning and evening in Heima River is very large. Wear warm clothes and a jacket, go to the lake and wait quietly for the sun to rise from the lake.

It's a pity that the weather is not good. By the time I saw the sun, it had already climbed into the sky above my head.

From Heima River, take the Jingla Line to Chaka Salt Lake, winding up the Rubber Mountain at an altitude of 3817 meters. This is the first dangerous section of the Grand Ring Line.

The mist-shrouded mountain road is lined with steep cliffs, and the road surface is slippery. There are many large vehicles passing by, so you need to pay close attention to the road conditions. At the same time, you are also worried that rocks will fall from the steep mountain.

There was a temporary photo spot on the top of the rubber mountain, but we didn’t stop because we didn’t think it was safe.

After going down the mountain, the weather is no longer gloomy. White clouds under the blue sky surround the surrounding towering mountains. There are herds of cattle and sheep in the nearby grasslands. After a short walk, you can reach Chaka Salt Lake.

Chaka Salt Lake was named one of the "55 Places You Must Visit in Your Lifetime" by National Tourism Geography Magazine.

Unfortunately, the Chaka Salt Lake Scenic Area was still being upgraded that day and was not open to the public. However, there is a trail provided by herdsmen next to the scenic area, which can lead to the Mohe Salt Field next to Chaka Salt Lake.

We entered the Mohe Salt Fields by the Chaka Salt Lake through the trail provided by the herdsmen, and followed other self-driving tourists for a bumpy six kilometers before reaching the lake.

It has not been developed yet and is not as famous as Chaka Salt Lake. In addition, it is the off-season, so there are very few tourists. You can enjoy a small half of the salt field to yourself, enjoy it and take photos as you like.

Snow-white salt fields, yellow grassland, rolling mountains, blue sky, floating clouds, a quiet natural scene. There are newlyweds taking wedding photos here, and of course there are also the ladies in red dresses posing in concave shapes.

We didn’t enter the Chaka Salt Lake Scenic Area, didn’t take the train to the Chaka Salt Lake, and didn’t see the legendary “land of the sky”. This is a regret of our trip.

Chaka Salt Lake is a brine lake where solid and liquid coexist. The lake water contains a lot of salt and will naturally crystallize into a white lake surface, shining like a mirror, reflecting the sky, clouds and mountains on the other side in the lake, just like the sky. mirror.

After seeing the Salt Lake, we rushed all the way to the transfer station Dachaidan. There is an AAA scenic spot on the way through Delingha City: Koruk Lake-Tuosu Lake Scenic Spot.

The name of the scenic spot is derived from a poignant love story.

Legend has it that a long time ago, on the banks of the beautiful Jinshui Lake in the northern desert, there lived a tribe of Mongolian ancestors. The prince of the tribe had a beautiful daughter named Koruk. One day, Kelu Ke went hunting with his father. He encountered a storm on the way and was lost and injured. He was rescued by a young man named Tuosu, and the two fell in love.

In order to prevent them from falling in love, the prince asked Tuosu to go to Qaidam in the distance to carry salt to show his sincerity before they could get married. Tuosu rode a white horse, went through hardships, came to Qaidam, and returned with a bag full of salt. On the way, unfortunately, there was a sandstorm and the white horse got lost. Tuosu carried a salt bag and walked forward, but due to exhaustion, he fainted in the vast Gobi.

After Tuosu left, Keluke kept watch by the Jinshui Lake every day. One day she saw Tuosu's white horse running alone from afar. She had a premonition that Tuosu would be in trouble, so she rode to look for him. A few days later, both Baima and Crook were so exhausted that they were near Tuosu. Crook stretched his arms forward and crawled towards Tuosu with difficulty, and Tuosu also stretched out an arm to meet Krouk. The dying lovers closed their eyes happily at the moment their hands touched.

Later, a freshwater lake appeared where Crook rested, and a saltwater lake appeared where Tuosu rested. The arms the two held together turned into a small river connecting the two sides, forming the current Lover's Lake.

I don’t know if it’s because of the off-season, but it looks desolate here, and I can only see a lot of people fishing by the lake.

There is also an alien ruins on the way. There are three irregular triangular caves with a depth of 6 meters. There are also iron pipes running through the mountains from top to bottom. Because it is unreasonable, they are considered to be alien ruins. I didn’t check in because I was in a hurry.

We arrived at Dachaidan at around seven o'clock in the evening, but the sun had not yet set. This is a transit point to the next stop, Dunhuang, and there are no scenic spots. The town is not big, and food and accommodation are very convenient.
