I took the train from Munich to Füssen at 8:05 this morning. It took exactly 2 hours and arrived in Füssen at 10:5.

After changing trains to reach the foot of the mountain, I went to pick up tickets for Neuschwanstein Castle at 1:55 pm. There were still more than 3 hours before the admission time, so I decided to visit Hohenschwangau Castle first.

Hohenschwangau is on a small slope. It's very easy to get up. It takes about 10 minutes to walk. Compared with Neuschwanstein Castle, Hohenschwangau Castle is not so famous. The whole castle looks quite satisfactory. If you don’t want to go in for a visit, just walk around outside for about 10 minutes.

When we came down, we went to the Alpine lake for a while.

After returning from Alpine Lake, I decided to find a restaurant to eat first. This restaurant has a lower rating than the other one nearby, but it’s so popular that I trusted the public’s choice and went in to order. Bavarian specialty, roasted pork knuckle and beer.

The taste is really good, the roasted pork knuckle is charred on the outside and tender on the inside, and the beer tastes very smooth. But the portion was so big that I felt a bit full at the end of the meal. It’s the kind of taste you feel you won’t want to eat again this week after finishing a meal, but then miss it again at night.

It took about 30 minutes to walk from the foot of the mountain to Neuschwanstein Castle. Visit the castle first, and then go to the Marianne Bridge, the best viewing point.

I didn’t have high expectations for visiting the castle because I had seen a lot of similar palaces in Paris and Vienna. But it turns out that this castle is quite unique and gives people a completely different feeling from Paris and Vienna. I don’t know whether it is the Bavarian style or the personal taste of Ludwig II.

Since photography is prohibited inside the castle, there are no pictures to see. Let’s talk about a few impressive points: the lobby dedicated to Jesus and the magnificent chandelier in the lobby, the Gothic-style bedroom (if you know Gothic, you know how gloomy it looks), the cave in the castle, a view It looks like a very modern climate-controlled room (yes, very un-medieval)... The entire tour lasts about 30 minutes, which is a bit short. After that, you are out of the core area but can wander around freely. In the souvenir shop, I bought an official guide printed with color pages (if I can’t take pictures, I’ll just buy the official pictures). The price of 5 euros really made me sigh: it’s cheap!

Everyone found a perfect shooting location in the castle.

After leaving the castle, you can head to Marianne Bridge. It's not far away but you have to go all the way up the mountain. It only takes 10 minutes to walk. There is also a best viewing point for viewing the Alpine Lake on the way.

The Marian Bridge feels like wood when you step on it, and it's a bit shaky. It seems like it will fall apart if there are more people on it. The wind is particularly strong on the bridge. But when you see Neuschwanstein Castle, you forget everything else, it’s so beautiful! The original Disney Castle lives up to its reputation!

Neuschwanstein Castle is another place that will stay in my heart!
