Qingdao walking map

It has a rather gimmicky title, but in fact it is just my own walking route in Qingdao and may not necessarily have reference value.

Qingdao is a hell for manual transmissions and bicycles, but a paradise for walking. There are no shared bicycles in Qingdao, probably because the terrain is mainly hilly and the buildings are built on the hills. If you ride a bicycle, you may be exhausted just climbing the hills.

The starting point of the walk is Taiping Kok Park. The cherry blossoms are in full bloom in the park. You can see the blooming cherry blossoms just after leaving the subway entrance. You can see several aunties wearing Korean costumes and holding flowers in their hands, as if they are performing a mime.

If you go further, you can see the sea. The sea and the sky meet in front of you. A small fishing boat sails towards the sky. The weather in Qingdao in spring is just right and the sun is shining brightly. Shen Congwen wrote in "Shuiyun": "My residence has been transformed from dry Beijing moved to a bright and gorgeous seaside. Since the sea is so wide and endless, I have more opportunities to gaze at the prospects of life. "You stand on the seaside and feel like you are like this little fishing boat, sailing towards it. There will also be infinite scenery on the road to the future of life.

You walk towards Taipingjiao. If you are lucky, you will encounter a folk band. The lead singer looks very much like Huang Bo, and Huang Bo is indeed from Qingdao. His whistle is brisk and bright. The band does not accept rewards, they just sing for themselves. If you have better luck, you will meet them on the subway on your way back. The lead singer will tell you that spring is the best season in Qingdao, and that sea is also the most beautiful sea in Qingdao.

Next to it is an uphill road that looks like a road leading to the sea from below. You can go and sit on a stone by the seaside. In front of you is a little boy playing in the water, next to you are a couple cuddling each other, and in the distance are the newlyweds taking wedding photos.

Get up and walk back to Badaguan. The road you came on has become a new scenery.

The first place we went to was the Huashi Building. Chiang Kai-shek should be a good tour guide. He could always find the places with the best scenery and stay there. Looking out from the windows decorated with stained glass in the Huashi Building, you could see cherry blossoms, green pines and sea.

It’s already noon when you come down from the Huashi Building. The Butterfly Building and the Princess Building look like the toy houses you played with when you were a child. They are brightly colored and simple in shape. They also require tickets, so you simply stop looking and don’t even want to take photos. Badaguan is called the "International Architecture Expo". Counting the Bund and Gulangyu Island, this is the third "International Architecture Expo" you have seen. Experience will tell you that places called this name are often still resorts for the rich and powerful.

So you can leave Badaguan, take the bus to Xiaoxihu (if you have enough energy, you can also walk), and then walk from Xiaoxihu to "Old Qingdao Hutong Fried Skewers" for lunch. As a recommendation, the store will lightly fry the skewers and then drizzle them with a layer of sweet and spicy sauce. The chicken hearts are especially delicious. For less than 30 yuan, you can have a very full meal, sit in the store for a while, and wait until the sun gets smaller in the afternoon before continuing your afternoon walk.

Go out from the alley to Nobel Bookstore. Follow the navigation and don’t take Daxue Road. The alleys in the old city have a unique flavor. There are dilapidated houses on the road that will be demolished, many downhill stairs, and the lazy afternoon sunshine.

When you come to the Nobel Bookstore, you will find that it has been closed for many years. It has opened and stopped in history, from the "Qindao Painting Society" to the study studio, then to the "Nobel Bookstore", and now it has changed back to Ordinary people, an old man standing in the yard to dry clothes, elegance is always temporary, the clothes have to be hung. I stood at the door and paid my respects for a while. Many books should have fought to the death here, using words to fight against the barren soul and the absurd world.

Then we went from Noble Bookstore to Xiaoyushan Park, passing through Longjiang Road and Daxue Road and then to Yushan Road. There were many cherry blossoms on the roadside, as well as green leaves and flowers sticking out of the wall. There were also some interesting shops. You can find them all in the wild shops. It is the store manager's own handmade product, and the display is very Japanese-style.

Walking to the university road, if you are lucky, you will meet the instructor with the children. He is talking: "The students drew a picture of the tortoise and the hare to satirize Liang Shiqiu and Wen Yiduo. Liang asked Wen, which one are you? Wen said: You choose first, I can do either."

It was already around four o'clock in the afternoon, so you could go into the Qingdao Art Museum to rest for a while. Although you couldn't understand the paintings, there was warm water inside to drink.

Finally, we came to the end of the Qingdao walking map - "Xiaoyushan Park". The park is not big. Standing on the top of the mountain, you can overlook the sea. As the evening approaches, pigeons fly in flocks over the city. If the weather is good, you may be able to see Qingdao. Bask in the sunset. You can also shamelessly steal other people's models and let their beauty sublimate your walking day like a philosopher's stone.

The sun is getting late and your trip to Shandong is coming to an end. You often look back at the gentle sea and bid farewell to Qingdao. "In this northern country where dust and sand are fog and storms are tides, Qingdao is a green pearl, as if by chance." Put it on the edge of the yellow map."

If you are not in a hurry, you can take the return bus to Huiquan Square Station. On the coastal road, you face the sea on the right and the spring flowers on the left.
