From junior high school to high school, and then graduating from college, then gradually entered the workforce

Friends around me come and go, and there are fewer and fewer. Luckily, someone is always there.

One of our universities is in the southeast and the other is in the southwest. I would secretly go out before the holidays every semester without telling my family. The first ancient town we went to was Fenghuang. That year Fenghuang just started charging tickets. The two of us bought tickets for 20 yuan with our student ID cards.

Then I went to Yunnan and took the 214 and 318 buses with my suitcase in hand. We spent my 20 years together in Xiamen. Wandering around in ancient towns in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai, meeting each other in Wenzhou, Lijiang and Guangzhou intermittently, always getting together once a year.

The reunion in 2019 came very early, because I wanted to eat spring rolls. It just so happens that we all have a vacation. So, we went to Vietnam at the end of winter, watching the sea and eating seafood become useless.

This travelogue has a lot of words and pictures. After all, when best friends meet, they can’t finish talking and taking enough pictures.

Small preparations before departure for travel

1) About visa

Vietnam visa is very simple, it is separate visa. After I placed the order on Qyer APP, I took a photo of the passport homepage + white background ID photo and sent it to customer service. It came down in 3 working days. Don’t throw away the visa paper you got! Take it with you on your trip!

2) About air tickets

Because the Spring Festival is approaching, the ticket price has increased slightly, but I, a stingy girl, still found a cheap route. Guangzhou flies to Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang flies to Hong Kong. The round-trip air ticket is about 1,000 yuan.

3) About exchange rate

The current exchange rate is approximately RMB:VND=1:3400. The best exchange rates in Vietnam are at the airport . Can reach 3400. Around 3,000-3,200 in urban areas. It is recommended to exchange some US dollars and bring them with you. Most of Vietnam cannot exchange RMB for money. UnionPay and Visa cards often cannot withdraw money from ATMs.

4) About the socket

Vietnam has a German-style two-hole socket, and two-port charging equipment does not require a conversion plug.

5) About others

If you stay in a B&B, you will receive your passport . If you leave early, you must allow time to collect your passport. Vietnamese people are generally very welcoming, but of course there are bad people and liars everywhere. There is no tip for passing the level, and there is no need to tip !

Quick conversion tips

Subtract 4 zeros from the Vietnamese dong, and then ×3 is the approximate amount of RMB.

For example, 30,000 Vietnamese dong is about 9 yuan.

DAY1 Ho Chi Minh

Zodiac year and dark restaurant

NOIR

Losing sight and eating in the dark

I ran into a little brother and a little sister who were both born in the same year on the plane. The four of us (with a 93-year-old brother) hit it off and went to the dark restaurant Noir. I was very lucky that day, and there was still a table available without making a reservation in advance.

Before entering the dining area, we first put on blindfolds and played a Jenga game, and then locked our mobile phones, cameras, and watches in the cabinet .

Then everyone put their hands on their shoulders, lined up like driving a train, and carefully followed our guide Zhe into the dining area.

The whole journey is pitch black and nothing can be seen. The guide Zhe will tell us where to start eating because we are required to choose the same set meal. Therefore, I think guessing what to eat while eating is the greatest pleasure of dining. The excitement level is similar to your online dating experience.

After we finished eating, the service staff told us what we had eaten in the lobby. We guessed a lot wrong.

What I didn't even expect was that 1.5 hours passed quickly without a mobile phone. Enjoy every second of the experience and every taste of the moment. Darkness is only temporary, the light around you and in front of you is always there.

DAY2 Ho Chi Minh

Eat eat eat eat eat keep eating

Pho2000

Eating rice noodles on the second floor of the cafe

On the first day of the official trip, we chose to eat rice noodles.

Pho 2000 is often called the rice noodle shop that Clinton cared for. In terms of taste, the soup tastes fresh and sweet, but the powder is average . It’s similar to the Vietnamese beef noodles I eat in Guangzhou. What’s more amazing is the fried spring rolls.

The Cafe Apartment

Internet celebrity store in one building

The renovation of old houses has a fatal attraction for me, and the dessert coffee afternoon tea is the attraction +max. So, when I found out about Ho Chi Minh’s Coffee Apartment, this was the part of my trip that had to be planned.

We took an elevator (which cost money) and went straight to the top. The earth-yellow mottled aisles and green plants on the windowsill are randomly placed. No matter how you style it, it’s super stylish.

From the top down, we randomly found a cafe to rest in. After placing the order, I discovered that this place is called so coffee. The overall taste is average, mainly because the environment is good . Sitting on the balcony you can overlook the street view of Ho Chi Minh City.

Fanny Ice Cream

Ice cream as old as me

Before entering the ice cream shop, I was really full, but I still had a stomach that could hold an ice cream ball.

It was quite late when I went there, and many of the things I wanted to eat were sold out. So Yeshuo ordered a drip coffee + ice cream ball. It's okay. I ordered something that I can’t remember the name of because it wasn’t delicious. Remember this picture, the caramel in this ice cream is burnt and extremely bitter...

Overall, it’s not a bad dish, it’s not amazing, and it’s not unpalatable.

ANAN

There are delicacies in the world hidden in the vegetable market

After eating Vietnam all the way to the end, I confirmed that the Vietnamese food I love are all improved . Therefore, ANAN became the white moonlight in my travels. ANAN means eating. It is hidden in the vegetable market. The chef can go out and purchase the freshest ingredients at any time to give you a good meal.

Because the menu is too complex, I asked the waiter to help with recommendations. Basically everything is pretty good (except for the fried pork ribs).

Especially recommends tacos, almost everyone at the table will order one! Real-name praise! The corn chips crackle when you bite into them. Taste buds automatically radiate joy.

The crab fried rice touched my heart directly. As a girl who loves fried rice and crab even more, I can’t resist a portion of crab fried rice. If you go to eat anan, please be sure to order a crab fried rice! ! !

Central post office and repaired church

In Ho Chi Minh, we have two main purposes, one is to transfer and the other is to eat eat eat eat eat. So, I stopped by the Central Post Office and saw the Notre Dame Cathedral (Red Church) being repaired as I passed by.

What impressed me most about Ho Chi Minh was that we withdrew money in Ho Chi Minh CBD (I saw many banks and OLs). I tried 4 bank ATMs but failed to withdraw money. Moreover, they did not accept RMB...

DAY3 Nha Trang

Go go go dive

Nha Trang

First dive of 2019

This year Sisi still hasn’t learned how to swim. But he still loves diving. I bought a diving package on Taobao. Then, he took Yeshuo to go diving.

She was very scared at first, but after she came up from the dive, she said she wanted to go again. There are only 0 dives and countless dives.

The two of us spent money to have someone help us take underwater photos. The photo is really ugly , I look like a monkfish. If you don’t know what monkfish is, you can search it on Baidu. You really spend money to see how ugly you are, crying in the storm!

Fortunately, one of the itineraries in the diving package is to go to a small island to lie down. Comrade Yeshuo took this photo for me, and I decided to be proud of it for a whole year.

Then, she, who was not afraid of water, went to play with an umbrella by herself. Apart from diving and fishing, I was afraid of all water sports, so I had to lie down and eat coconuts to take pictures of her.

When we returned from the island, there was a popsicle seller on the roadside. Our tour guide treated us to some popsicles, which were naturally strawberry-flavored for the girl. Cyclone Amway roadside popsicle!

Before leaving on the bus, I saw a group of Vietnamese people having a party, singing K and dancing, and I was filled with envy.

Nha Trang

Tile BBQ, so fun

Tile barbecue is a local specialty, so naturally I can’t miss it. I chose a nearby barbecue restaurant on Dianping and took a grab to go there. There are not too many people, so order a few meat and vegetarian dishes and wait for the delicious food.

During this period, I asked Yeshuo seriously, do you think these tiles are disposable, or do they have to clean them before using them? The people painting the tiles must be too tired.

While I felt sorry for the person who was painting the tiles, I happily listened to the grilled squid sizzling on the tiles. Swallow it in one gulp, and it will be steaming and satisfying!

Bits of other records

Car crashes, night hugs and passport retention

The flight from Ho Chi Minh to Nha Trang was delayed. We were both very hungry when we got off the plane, so we decided to take a taxi. Book a B&B called Diagon Alley in advance. We two Muggles and the Muggle driver couldn’t find this B&B in the alley . The driver was careless and hit the wall. I feel so distressed.

Upon arrival, the hostess of the B&B gave me a hug and asked us to cook super delicious Vietnamese instant noodles (I bought it on Taobao!) for a late night snack. At that moment, I fell in love with her!

If it weren’t for detaining my passport (the first time I met a B&B that deducted my passport) , the phone couldn’t be reached on the second day. After we asked the uncle next door to help contact her, a person came Those who don’t understand English only understand the Vietnamese auntie of Hee Hee . It took us more than an hour to get our passports and we almost missed the bus. I was so angry that I wanted to withdraw her hug.

DAY4 Nha Trang

Wake up naturally and go to the beach to enjoy the cool breeze

The most important thing about traveling is not checking in a few scenic spots, but sleeping until you wake up naturally! We are here to have fun, not to go to the market. So, after driving yesterday and the next day in Nha Trang, we slowly and leisurely lay down. Take a taxi to the mud bath in the afternoon.

Nha Trang

Must take a mud bath

Mud baths are also a specialty of Nha Trang, and there are several in Nha Trang. I chose I-Resort, mainly because I liked the architecture of its thatched village .

After soaking for 20 minutes, my skin felt smooth.

Afterwards, Yeshuo and I continued to lie down on the lounge chairs by the swimming pool. I'm still asleep...

Nha Trang

Go to historic sites and enjoy the sea breeze

After taking a mud bath, I always felt like I should go out for a walk. So I asked grab to go to Cham Pagoda. To put it simply, it is the Mazu Temple in China.

I saw a stone tablet on the ruins, which recorded the legend of the origin of the Cham Temple recorded by Chinese officials. Suddenly I felt nostalgic.

I also watched a local dance. Of course, as a superficial person like me, I feel that the old temples here are the most suitable for taking pictures.

Unfortunately, the sea breeze was howling that day. Our hair styles were blown into a mess. His face is basically ruined. I had no choice but to go into battle with my face covered.

Nha Trang

Fried noodles worth coming back for

Looking for delicious food on TripAdvisor, I found an Asian restaurant ranked highly and it was next door to our hotel. So follow the navigation. There are not many delicious dishes in Vietnam, and Ye Shuo unexpectedly ordered this fried noodles!

The roast duck, grapefruit salad and fried rice ordered were all SOSO. The coconut is the most expensive one we have eaten in Vietnam, and it is also the tenderest. Of course, if it’s for the fried noodles, I’m willing to come again! ! ! Real name PICK fried noodles, responsible for delicious food!

Nha Trang

Stay in a hotel with a lot of mirrors

I decided to sleep in a sea view room at the beach, so I chose InterContinental. The room is neither small nor big. The funniest thing is that the bathroom has glass sliding doors on three sides. I don’t know if it’s for fun or to make the room look bigger. You can see the sea outside the window, and it is very close to the seaside, just a road away . Well worth sleeping on.

But a few days ago, I saw baby Shi Ting staying at the Sheraton. I found that the swimming pool is so beautiful and the fried noodles on the second floor are so delicious. I fell in love with the Sheraton...

Nha Trang-Da Nang

Get on a bus that smells like feet

I haven’t booked a train ticket and I haven’t taken the night bus. So, I waited with great anticipation for a bus that was one hour late. After getting in the car, I said that the car smelled like foot. Fortunately, I had a spray to save my sense of smell.

If you can handle the smell of your feet and want to experience Vietnam’s local transportation methods, try the night bus. If not, choose airplane.

DAY5 Da Nang

Female motorcycle driver please take me for a ride

It was still early to arrive in Da Nang, and we didn’t expect that the BNB room would allow us to check in in advance. By the way, I rented a motorcycle at a bnb and still kept my passport.

Da Nang

Go up the mountain and go around the sea to see Guanyin

On the side of the road, there is a super cute little gas station to fill up the tank and let’s go racing!

I drove Google Maps and sat in the back seat to direct the road. The speed was 60 mph, and I felt very excited . After turning a few corners, we ran straight to Lingying Temple.

Because it is our family’s tradition not to take pictures in temples, we didn’t have a big view of Guanyin. Anyway, it's huge. You can see him on the beach in Da Nang! In fact, the scenery along the way is more beautiful than at the top of the mountain. After wandering around in the temple and failing to find any monkeys, we headed down the mountain. On the way back, the female driver Ye Shuo even raced with others! ! ! !

Da Nang

Watching the rain and eating seafood at a beach stall

On the way back, I saw a stall on the beach and decided to stop and take a look. The fishermen on the beach are fishing, the rhythm is very strong, and it is inexplicably healing.

Local people gathered around to buy freshly caught fish.

I'm the kind of person who can't walk when I see Pipi Shrimp! So, I bought it and asked the proprietress of the stall next door to help process it. The ingredients are fresh, and it is delicious enough to blanch them in water to retain their original flavor.

As soon as I finished ordering, it started drizzling. It was fate that we would not get caught in the rain. The lucky girl deserves seafood and a sea view. I quickly took a photo of my exclusive female motorcycle driver~

2 pounds of Pipi shrimps, 2 pounds of snails, 5 crabs, served with Vietnamese New Year version of Pepsi Cola. Ingredients + processing fee are about 200 yuan. Eat to your heart’s content! Compared to sea view seafood restaurants, this simple seaside stall is more attractive.

There is a round boat parked on the beach. If I could swim, I would really like to jump on this round boat and catch a big fish.

Hoi An

Suddenly I want to ride a bike to see the lights

My friend Comrade Yeshuo often comes up with wonderful ideas. For example, one night in Xiamen 5 years ago, she was lying on the bed and said she was going to go camping at the beach. Then we went that night. That day I found out that the beach toilets in Xiamen would be closed at night.

In the afternoon in Da Nang this year, she said she wanted to ride a motorcycle to Hoi An. So we set off.

After riding the motorcycle on the beach for more than an hour, the two of us arrived in Hoi An. We spent a lot of money to stop at a Vietnamese restaurant that was inexplicably hot (then we both forgot to find our location and spent 20 minutes looking for the Vietnamese restaurant).

Walking into Hoi An Ancient Town, the sky is getting dark. I found a restaurant called Morning Glory, ordered white rose and strawberry milkshake on the second floor terrace, and watched tourists wearing Ao Dai coming and going on the street.

Of course, white rose is indispensable. As far as I am concerned, it is actually the shrimp-flavored wontons in spring roll wrappers. The beauty is enough and the taste is mediocre. The food at this restaurant is also very average. But the best thing is that the window seats on the second floor are good.

Hoi An’s bluestone slabs, white walls and black tiles, and all kinds of lanterns. I mistakenly thought it was the Lantern Festival returning to Wuzhen. At night in Hoi An, there are crowds of people, and the lights in the world are so warm.

The last time we put out lanterns was when we went to Phoenix in 2013. After 6 years, the girl is still the same. We sit in a hand-cranked boat and let go of a lantern. I forgot to make a wish to get rich overnight.

Back at BNB, I was a little hungry again. The guy at the B&B told us about a very local local shop. We both went to eat like crazy. ah! So authentic! It’s not delicious…but I learned how to make spring rolls! !

DAY6 Da Nang-Ba Na Hills

The French romance in the fog begins

I am really a girl with very strange hobbies, I love riding cable cars! (Maybe it’s because I don’t like mountain climbing) Ba Na Mountain! There is the longest cross-mountain cable car in the world ! Sit down!

Ba Na Hills

Trembling in a French chateau

Miss Yeshuo is also a girl who loves cable cars. It's really not our style to chat next to my boyfriend on the cable car. We'll have a blast on the cable car...

But that day, Ba Na Hills! Heavy fog! ! ! ! I can't see anything! It’s still raining on the top of the mountain! ! ! ! I also wore a set of JK! ! It's freezing! I feel like I am the original Oliver Twist.

Ba Na Hills

SPA in a French chateau, frozen into useless wood

In the hotels on Ba Na Mountain, other hotels have cooling fans, but here the hot fans are turned on. It was so cold that my heart wanted to go down the mountain, but my body decided to huddle under the quilt. We couldn't waste a nice foggy day, so we both went to the SPA. Or the castle SPA, where Oliver Twist turns over and sings!

Ba Na Hills

Bits of other records

That night we stayed at the Mercure Hotel in Ba Na Hills. The room was small and very cold. However this is the only hotel in Ba Na Hills and one can enjoy the quietness without tourists the next morning. Bear it! You can only eat in the hotel restaurant that night, other restaurants are closed. Buffet, not delicious.

DAY6 Ba Na Hills-Da Nang

Go all the way north to see the sea

We didn't get up early the next day. In heavy fog and drizzle, don’t make it difficult for yourself to get up early. So, I slowly climbed up and walked around Ba Na Hills, which is full of Koreans.

Because of the weather, the train stopped running, and fans of the Bergamot Bridge were hazy and couldn't see clearly. A girl, not afraid of hardships, walks in the drizzle wearing JK.

Ba Na Hills

The shivering journey of JK girls

Standing among groups of pedestrians wearing cotton-padded jackets, we relied on our willpower to stay warm.

Ba Na Hills is actually more suitable for parents and children. There is a dream park where you can take children to play. But I'm cold and I don't want to play...

Fortunately, I met a rainbow channel in the garden on the mountainside. In the heavy fog, my mood also built a sunshine rainbow bridge!

The fog descends from the mountain, and the sky gets better as it goes down the mountain. On the mountain, below the mountain, two seasons.

Yeah~ I accidentally caught a piece of cloud.

Da Nang

Dragging the suitcase and encountering the sea

After eating an expensive but ordinary seafood meal, I took my suitcase and saw the rare sunny Da Nang. I couldn't help but rush to the beach, spend money on beach chairs and order 2 more coconuts. Happy to lie down.

Run along the way and meet along the way. Maybe just for the last sea.

Whether it's raining, foggy or sunny, the person by your side is right, and it's worth 1,000 days of good weather.

In the 13th year of being best friends, I can actually go anywhere, as long as I have you by my side.

Traveling in Vietnam is not perfect. I ran to the wrong terminal as soon as I left. Then I was delayed, missed, lost, miscalculated money, the airline made mistakes, got screwed by motorcycles, and all kinds of embarrassing things happened. But, fortunately, we have gone through hundreds of battles, and weird little things always happen, and every one of them is a joke in life. Just enjoy it.

Even a day trip to Hell can feel like a gothic party if you travel with the right people.

I hope you can also meet a good girl who can take you to the end of the world with your sword.
