In September this year, I resigned from the company where I had worked for 4 years. I wanted to go out for fun immediately. However, the local epidemic broke out and I was confined at home for more than half a month. After the lockdown was lifted, I returned to my hometown to stay with my parents for more than half a month. Only then in October Depart for Huangshan, Anhui on the 19th.
My partner, Xiao Song, lived here. He had not found a new job at that time, so the two socially idle but harmless people had a lot of time every day to figure out where to go and how to play.
In the first few days, we wandered around the city of Huangshan, and on the 26th we went to Qiyun Mountain, one of the four famous Taoist mountains nearby.
Search "Qiyunshan" on degree b, and you will get three results:
In view of the fact that there are three areas with the same name, if you want to go to Qiyun Mountain after reading this travel note, you can pay attention to which Qiyun Mountain guide you are looking at when you go back to read the guide online. I also got confused once.
It was almost ten o'clock when we arrived at the visitor center at the foot of Qiyun Mountain that day. After asking about the way up the mountain, we kept moving forward.
The artificial landscaping area next to the visitor center is very nice to take pictures of.
While walking along the riverside trail, I was surprised to find a swing on the side of the road. The two of us went there alternately to enjoy ourselves. We haven’t sat on a swing for a long time ~
I danced with a bright smile, and Xiao Song was "frightened" by playing, and kept saying that I didn't dare to play too high.
All my photos are beautified, I'll tell you first.
Continuing to walk forward, you will come to the Dengfeng Bridge that must be passed up the mountain. This bridge was built in the Ming Dynasty. There is an ancient proverb in Huizhou, "One glance at the Dengfeng Bridge will reveal blessings from a high perspective; walking on the Dengfeng Bridge Once you leave, your life will be extended by ninety-nine points.”
The Dengfeng Bridge has been completely destroyed and rebuilt several times in history. When we arrived, the bridge was also under renovation. Although there was a notice posted on the side of the bridge that the bridge was under construction, there were still many locals walking on the bridge, so We did not take a detour and went up the mountain via Dengfeng Bridge.
Passing through Dengfeng Bridge and the subsequent small villages, you will arrive at the entrance to the ancient trail into the mountains. Because Xu Xiake once visited Qiyun Mountain during his travels, so there is a monument like this at the intersection↓
Climbing Qiyun Mountain Road, you will pass by thirteen pavilions, known as "Jiuli Thirteen Pavilions". These pavilions are all modern renovations and reconstructions. They are ordinary antique buildings. I didn't stay too long, but seriously I read the story behind the construction of each pavilion.
Among them, the stories of "Songyue Pavilion" and "Zhanjing Pavilion" are my favorite↓
When we were making the guide, we knew that Qiyun Mountain would only take up to five or six hours a day, so we were relaxed throughout the whole process, walking around and taking pictures, and we were not in a hurry.
After walking through the Thirteen Pavilions, we came to the ticket center of Qiyun Mountain "Dengxian Tower"
Adult tickets are 68 yuan. You can buy tickets in advance on APP or go to Dengxian Tower to buy tickets. The Qiyun Mountain scenic spot often launches a free ticket policy. For example, during the National Day this year, Huangshan students or tourists wearing Hanfu entering the mountain can enjoy free tickets.
Many hikers will return the same way after reaching the Dengxian Tower, or take the ropeway down the mountain. We are planning to hike the whole journey, so we buy the tickets and continue heading deeper and higher into the mountain.
Taking photos at Dengxian Tower
Xiuning County, where Qiyun Mountain is located, has produced 19 champions from the Song Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, and is known as "The Number One Scholar County in the World". Therefore, many local city promotions, including the construction of scenic spots, are related to the champion culture.
For example, we passed a road on the way up the mountain. The road was covered with various red ribbons for prayers, and on both sides were the heads of local civil and military champions. It was very ghostly. It's okay to see it in broad daylight, but it's a bit scary if you walk by it at night.
Climbing until noon, we found a location with a good view to eat the self-heating rice we brought with us. From this location, we could see the large fields at the foot of the mountain.
The gourd is a symbol that can be seen everywhere in Qiyun Mountain. It can also be seen in the fields at the foot of the mountain. However, it is interesting that you cannot see the whole picture without climbing the mountain.
The big gourd in the field↑
After lunch, I wanted to go to the toilet. When I was looking for the nearest toilet, I found a building that looked like a Taoist temple next to it. I called Xiao Song to look at it together. The two of them bumped into Dongtian Fudi Temple .
After entering the door, there are two large bays on the left and right. The large bay on the left is dedicated to Emperor Zhenwu. The paintings on both sides of the wall are about Emperor Zhenwu's experience of becoming an immortal.
The large bay on the right is dedicated to Zhang Sanfeng. On the wall are portraits of famous local Taoists and their introductions. I don’t know who painted these portraits. They are both beautiful and unique.
There was only one young Taoist man stationed in the temple. He was making lunch when we went there. He stopped what he was doing and briefly introduced us to the things displayed in the glass cabinets in the hall, and then continued to do his own thing. We took our time and took a look. .
There is a small table at the entrance, with some books and notes spread out on the table. Among them is the simplified score of "A Dream of Red Mansions in the Autumn Window, Stormy Evening" handwritten by a Taoist↓
Behind the two-bay house is the field planted by the young Taoist himself, as well as the tomb of Zhang Sanfeng, who is said to be there.
Taoist’s small vegetable garden↑
Xiao Song said that he envied the life of a Taoist. He lived in the mountains without being disturbed, but it was not too far from the city. He could grow his own vegetables and eat his own food, and he could also focus on what he liked. I also thought it was great .
We continue to move forward, and we will see some cliff carvings from time to time on both sides of the mountain road. This is also a major attraction of Qiyun Mountain.
There are also many residents on Qiyun Mountain, and of course there are many B&Bs. If you go to the densely populated settlements on the mountain, you can see a house with a sign saying "xx B&B" and one or two Taoists.
Qiyun Mountain is not high. Except for some temples and ancient buildings, there are no road signs in many places. We have a strong sense of exploration and try to walk many small trails that tourists are too lazy to walk. After reading it again, including such a thin line of sky, the narrowest point can only allow one person to pass.
However, this line of sky does not reach any mountain peaks after going up to the sky, nor does it have any magnificent scenery. Instead, it goes down another road after reaching the highest point. The interesting thing is the journey itself.
On the way forward, I saw the peak in the picture below and wanted to see it. However, we walked around and visited the tops of two other small peaks, but we didn’t find where to get there. The peak may have been passed.
In the end, we accidentally hit a peak. I don’t know if it is the most dangerous peak here. The road up is narrow and steep, and there is a cliff outside the iron cable↓
Apart from the bare open space on the peak here, there is actually nothing interesting to see in the mountains in the distance. The scenery is not as good as the place where you take a break for lunch, but after taking this trip to see clearly, it is not a wasted trip.
An uncle and his wife who wanted to go up next met us going down. After hearing that there were no good roads at the top and it was difficult to walk, they also followed us down.
We used to go up the mountain, and the villagers took the path down the mountain themselves. This road is gentle and easy to walk, but there is no scenery along the way, but it is more convenient. After all, it is too tiring to go back.
After walking down the mountain for more than ten minutes along this road, the field with the big gourd we saw on the mountain was in front of us. I was so happy that I ran towards the field quickly. Xiao Song recorded my wind behind me. The same figure hahahaha.
In fact, when we got here, we all felt exhausted, our legs were weak and aching, and we didn't want to leave. However, there was no car on the road, so we had to go through fields and a bridge, walk to the visitor center where we came, and take a bus. Return trip.

Unsurprisingly, it topped the list of steps taken that day↑

For dinner, we went to the local Yuji Huiwei Restaurant in Xiuning for a hearty meal, ending a busy and happy day!
Thank you for seeing you here, and I wish you a happy day
