Travel notes about the "Ultra North Train"
mohe
The famous landmark I learned in a geography textbook more than ten years ago is the northernmost point of China, filled with ice, snow, and aurora, full of mystery.
This summer, I saw the "Ultra North Train" operated by the Harbin Railway Bureau. I was so excited that I finally made the trip, completing my long-standing dream trip to the North.
Continuing from the previous article, please click on the title below to review
The "Northern Train" Dream Journey to the North (1) Hulunbuir Prairie, Manzhouli Matryoshka Hotel
"Ultra North Train"'s Dream Journey to the North (2) Heishantou Horse Farm, Ergun Wetland, Aoguluya Reindeer Tribe
Passed through Hulunbuir and Daxingan Mountains
Today we are finally heading to China’s Arctic - Mohe
The excitement is beyond words
I’m so happy that I can’t find the north hahaha
We arrived at Genhe Railway Station at five in the morning and returned to the Far North train that we had left for two days.
Sleep, eat, and sing karaoke on the train OK , watching the mahjong game, time passed quickly.
At 11 o'clock we arrived at Mangui Town at the junction of Inner Mongolia and Northeast China. This is a primeval forest area in the cold temperate zone, and most of the residents in the town are forestry workers.
The railway also ends abruptly here. Mangui Station is the terminus of the Yalin Railway (Yakeshi–Mangui). It is a station at the end of the railway and the station with the highest latitude in Inner Mongolia.
After lunch, we took the bus all the way north. The birch and pine trees were intertwined on the roadside, and the grass and trees were slightly yellow, creating a hazy autumn color.
There was a forest on the road that was full of charred tree trunks. The leader said that this was due to a fire a few years ago. It was a pity. Fire prevention in forest areas is indeed a top priority.
Three hours later, we arrived at the entrance of Arctic Village.
Tall trees and dense forests, Heilongjiang boundary river, waterside sandbanks, Oroqen tribes,
This is a once pristine border village.
But it became famous because of the special geographical symbol "Northernmost Point of China".
Now it has been developed richly and neatly, with less wild interest.
But no one will care, everyone comes here,
They all have an important goal - to find North!
There are various landmarks and large rocks for people to check in and take pictures, and no one is exempt from this.
"I found North"
——Everyone’s favorite big stone
"Being in the far north, my heart is towards the Party Central Committee"
——Very suitable for the occasion, popular and professional
"Northernmost Outpost"
——Look out at the door and be careful not to take a picture of the sentry.
"Heilongjiang, the border river between China and Russia"
——Take a boat trip with pleasant scenery and listen to interesting stories about the border
"Oroqen Museum"
——The roe deer head hat made of silly roe deer has its own cuteness, and the birch bark products are full of literary and artistic temperament.
"Arctic Observation Tower"
——The tallest building in the village, the only place higher than the observation tower of the northernmost outpost, Range... is only 53 meters, but it is enough to overlook the whole village. After all, the scenery is better at high places, and there are various telescope
"Northernmost Post Office"
——There is a fee for postmarking, but it is a co-branded product with the world’s northernmost post office in Finland Rovaniemi , Santa Claus’ hometown.
In addition, there is the Northernmost one, the Northernmost cold drink shop, the Northernmost coffee house, the Arctic Monument of China, and probably a public toilet to be named the Northernmost. But in addition to checking in and taking pictures, shouldn’t there be some more features?
Dinner is stewed in an iron pot, a solid pot, and you can feel the appetite in the Northeast. The farmyard where we stayed at night had a characteristic big bed + with a large flower quilt, and a big wind blowing in our face, which was particularly festive.
We went out for a stroll at night. There were no street lights for a whole kilometer, and even the farmhouses that were open had no neon signs. We walked in the night with moonlight and a flashlight, and the radio was playing on the loudspeakers in the village. We walked to the northernmost post office street. There are lights now, and the prosperity is limited to the four intersections. In the dimly lit supply and marketing cooperatives and canteens, you can drink retro-flavored orange soda, and the aunties setting up stalls are selling wild blueberries and cranberries. All this seems to have traveled back to the last century.
Yes, this is a feeling only found on the border.
Because of its high latitude and vast sky and earth, the colors of sunrise and sunset here are exceptionally magnificent and unforgettable.
The Arctic sandbank is a paradise for wild animals, with pure nature and excellent ecological preservation.
On the road from Golden Rooster Crown to Arctic Square, a wooden plank road runs through the forest. In the distance, there is a sea of clouds growing in the mountains - "The mountains are white cloud roots". The children are running and jumping on the road like a little wild beast. In the northernmost part of the motherland, there is such a paradise far away from the world.
The owner of the farmhouse where we stayed in the village was very enthusiastic. The eldest sister helped us get a roll of toilet paper and told us to talk to us if we needed anything with the children. The old lady slipped tomatoes from the kitchen to the two children. She wanted to go outside to watch the sunset and opened the backyard for us. small door.
The simple folk customs are very useful for people who go out. In this extremely cold place at high latitudes, the relationship between people returns to warmth and nature.
After a day of searching in the Arctic Village, we went to Mohe City. 80 Many kilometers 1.5 Hours by car
Mohe is not big, and the sky is high and the clouds are clear, it is bright and fresh, and the places you can go are all concentrated.
The May 6th Fire Memorial Hall has an on-site explanation. The huge forest fire in 1987 burned continuously for more than 20 days. Almost the entire Mohe River was burned down. The fire melted the city. It was really shocking. .
Songyuan Park is one of the few primeval forest parks in the city. It miraculously survived the May 6 fire. Local people said: Songyuan did not burn because the auspicious land of fire could not bear it.
The children picked up many kinds of pine cones in the pine forest and stuffed them all in their pockets, like little squirrels storing winter food.
Polaris Square is on a hillside, and you can overlook the entire city when you climb up.
Fruits in the Northeast are very cheap, including blueberries, prunes, small pears, and girl fruits. You can buy a lot of them for more than ten yuan.
In addition, the Northeast ice cream is super delicious, such as Longjiang Daban. Blow up this large square brick, it costs five yuan a piece, it tastes very good, and it beats Haagen-Dazs in an instant.
mohe
we are coming
We walked
Like the wind that has traveled eight thousand miles without asking about the date of return
Everyone wants to find North, and everyone has times when they can’t find North.
When you find north, you will find that north is nothing more than this
But the north is there, like a gleam in the dark night, like a guiding star
North is an everlasting thought and an immortal dream
And this journey of finding North is an everlasting memory in my heart.
