The records in southern England still have a small tail left to make up for here.

After leaving the UK temporarily, I took my poor 16-day Schengen visa with me.

We embarked on a bus tour of Europe.

July 15 Landmark

Perhaps to warm us who were injured yesterday, London was exceptionally sunny on this day. Even the Lady of Victory in Buckingham Palace Square was even more golden, and Big Ben looked like a proud figure with a golden bell.

At sunset, the London Eye nestles against the Thames, rotating gracefully and slowly in the air. Londoners in a hurry can't help but look up. The Millennium Wheel, which was still in its infancy at the end of 1999, has now ushered in 2020.

July 16 Oxford

I took the Oxford Express to the legendary University of Oxford and carefully looked at the bricks and tiles of each college. What could be more sacred than the palace of knowledge they piled up? Turning around, the white-haired figure walking slowly past just now could be a respected old professor from a certain college.
Those who ride old bicycles in the alley to rush to class, those who quietly read alone under the shade of trees, those who sit around on the grass talking and laughing, these young people must have a world completely different from ours in their heads.

July 17 Where to go?

Due to our hasty departure, except for watching Wimbledon, the schedule has been empty. Therefore, we often need to stop and think about where to go next. On this day, we stayed in the B&B and planned our Schengen trip two days later.

July 18 The other side

The weather in London is like Trump’s face. When we are at Tower Bridge, the sky is blue and the clouds are white, so we put on sunscreen. When we walk to the bridge, there are dark clouds and we wear a jacket. Standing on Tower Bridge and looking at both sides of the Thames River, you can have a panoramic view of skyscrapers such as the Shard, City Hall, and the "Gherkin". Different from the traditional pastoral scenery full of green, the financial district in front of you all shows London as an international city. Another side of the metropolis.

July 19, farewell for now

We left London on an international bus early in the morning, then crossed the English Channel and arrived in France in the evening. There happened to be a football match that night, and the streets and bars downstairs of the hotel were crowded with excited fans. Unable to withstand the fatigue of the boat ride, we struggled to fall asleep amidst their high and low emotions. Later, in our sleep, we drifted into the memory of their victory. Sing.

July 20 Lille

Lille, the largest city in northern France, is different from what you imagined. On both sides of the spacious streets, scattered pedestrians are all dressed in simple clothes. The simple decorations on the streets cannot be called romantic, but they are placed in the shape of a few zodiac signs. The statues are brightly colored and vivid in shape, adding a bit of childlike interest to the slightly deserted square.

July 21, The Hague

You can take a train from Rotterdam directly to The Hague, the political center of the Netherlands. Many government agencies, including the Parliament Building, are located here. The Peace Palace on the outskirts of the city is the seat of the well-known United Nations International Court of Justice.

You can take a 10-minute tram ride from the city to Scheveningen Beach, the most beautiful seaside resort in the Netherlands, where you can surf, kite surf, and speedboat. . . The Dutch, who love outdoor sports, enjoy everything the sea has to offer.

July 22 Amsterdam

There are too many keywords about Amsterdam: Van Gogh, red light district, marijuana, homosexuality, euthanasia. . . It is undoubtedly colorful and has a fatal attraction, so much so that I can’t think of anywhere that is more open, free and tolerant than Amsterdam. But the drug addicts we met around the corner made people sigh, and how many living souls were lost in this colorful scene.

July 23 Rotterdam

Rotterdam is a city that feels just right, not as flashy as Amsterdam, but more vibrant than The Hague. The architecture in the city is also very interesting. The large and small houses are rich in color and not unusual. The seemingly simple designs of some modern high-rise buildings always have small thoughts hidden in them.

You must go to Kinderdijk. Cycling along the gravel path to the deepest pastoral area, counting the 19 windmills among the reflections of the blue waves, it is like traveling in a paradise, watching the clouds rolling and relaxing, leisurely and contented.

July 24 Brussels

Brussels, the capital of Belgium and the seat of the new European Union headquarters, the central square is surrounded by Gothic buildings. Tourists sit on the ground under the arches and calm down in their medieval reverie.

July 25 Luxembourg

Before going to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, I only knew that it was a highly developed capitalist country and very wealthy. Later I heard that the average life expectancy here was 80 years old and that all public transportation was free. Until I saw a charging Tesla with a rental car on its head on the roadside. The little yellow hat was suddenly shocked and inhumane.

What is even more surprising is that the people of Luxembourg City opened a "bar street" in front of the Grand Duke's Palace, and outdoor movies were shown from time to time. People just hugged and danced in front of the curtain as if no one else was around. One has to wonder whether the Grand Duke himself was secretly enjoying himself with the people through the balcony window.

July 26 Border

Across this bridge from the small town of Echternach in Luxembourg, you will find the German border town of Echternacherbrück. Along the shallow river, there is a fully equipped RV campground. Or there are all kinds of luxurious RVs that are dazzling to see. How fascinating it is to have a mobile fortress that can carry your loved one with you to travel around Europe.

July 27, large rural area

Switzerland is the most expensive country in this trip, but for me, who is obsessed with rural scenery, it is also the most charming place with natural scenery. Even if you don't go to the Alps, staying in this "big countryside" is enough to make you feel relaxed and happy. The air is really good.

July 28 Listening to the Rain

That day we stayed on the balcony of the B&B, wrapped in coats and holding hot coffee, listening to the patter of rain outside. After the rain, the plants and trees in the village are as bright and bright as if they were repainted with green paint. Compared with the British's standard gardening, the Swiss' love for their own yards is more of a fairy tale.

July 29 Emerald Green

Lake Brienz is like an emerald dropped in the mountains. The milky green water is so clear that it is unreal.

If I can't face the sea, I just wish I could have a little red house, embraced by mountains and surrounded by green water, with one person, feeding horses, chopping firewood, watching the changes of the four seasons, and waiting for the flowers to bloom in spring.

July 30 Alps

Sweet Memories

Starting from Interlaken, it takes three trains to finally reach the top of the Jungfraujoch, the roof of Europe. At the top, you can have a panoramic view of the majestic 360-degree view of the Alps, and the Aletsch Glacier lies quietly in front of you. , but so magnificent that it is out of reach. The shock of the moment cannot be expressed in words. I can only imprint all of this in my mind intently.

July 31st

From Switzerland to Italy, we took the international bus FLIXBUS again. We were really tired from running around in the past few days. We slept deeply along the way. When we woke up, we arrived at the station. It felt great not to be asked to get off the bus for border inspection.

August 1 Crema

Traveling thousands of miles to Crema, a small town in southern Italy, just to satisfy a small selfish desire for Elio and Oliver.

Elio murmured his confession in Piazza Pandino, "Because I wanted you to know? Because I wanted you to know. Because I wanted you to know."

We followed their footsteps, and under the guidance of the little hare, we arrived at Elio's secret base, where the first kiss at the foot of the Alps was hidden.

August 2 Milan

As a former Western Roman Catholic city, Milan has the largest Gothic church in the world - Milan Cathedral. Even though we saw many Gothic buildings and exquisite churches along the way, when we really stood in the Cathedral Square and looked up, Still find it incredible.

August 3 Return to UK

This is the end of the Schengen trip

Farewell to Milan, we came to Bedford via London
