There are quite a lot of scenic spots near Dunhuang, which is much better than the one in Qinghai a few days ago. It’s really a vast area and sparsely populated, and most of them are on the road.
However, coming out of Mingsha Mountain, it is really a desert climate. It gets hotter and more desolate as we go. The entire land is barren of grass. Our goal is Yadan Devil City. I definitely didn’t know that there was such a place in China beforehand. Because we have a large population, we should naturally use every inch of land effectively, but it is really impossible to use such a place! Nothing can grow. The tour guide said that the annual rainfall is -52 mm, which means that not only does it not rain, but the moisture in the land continues to escape into the air. This kind of place can only be used as a tourist attraction.
This place must have a hot climate! Later, a friend said it was worse than Turpan.
I ran to the front of the bus, next to the driver, to take pictures. Photographing this kind of road here is a must-have
After arriving at the scenic spot, you need to take the scenic bus and walk inside. It is extremely hot when you enter the gate. There are several attractions inside. After the bus arrives at the stop, tourists can go down to browse and take photos before going to the next place.
I feel that the situation here is the process of land desertification. After the water in the rocks is lost, it gradually turns into soil, then becomes sandy, and finally becomes like a desert. Before complete desertification, there will be various shapes, which is considered to be nature. What a wonderful workmanship!
I can't remember your name.
Classic way to take photos on the road
Continue to the next attraction
It must be called Phoenix or something like that
This group is called the "West Sea Fleet". The name comes from a vice chairman of the Military Commission, and it definitely has a majestic feeling.
Not far from here is the ruins of Yumen Pass. These two places in the northwest are well-known. One is "The spring breeze does not cross Yumen Pass", and the other is "There are no old friends when leaving Yangguan in the west." In fact, Yumen Pass and Yangguan are already ruins. , if there is no culture inside, there is really nothing to see. We chose Yumen Pass this time. There are many introductions to scenic spots built outside. Of course, they are all built to sell tickets. The only thing that can really be seen inside is a small earthen city.
In such a big place, it can only accommodate twenty people and there is no room to stay. I can't imagine how Yumen Pass became a famous frontier fortress. We all took a quick look and then returned.
This thing really needs to be viewed from a cultural perspective. It has been a typical Tibetan style since entering Qinghai. By Dunhuang, it has crossed the grassland and entered the desert area. No matter how you look at it, it has nothing to do with the farming culture of the Central Plains. But ours Forefathers to be able to extend the border to this point are really thanks to the pioneering spirit of our ancestors.
We returned to Dunhuang to check in in the evening, which was a rare one-day tour with a relatively short drive.
