Introduction to Andrássy Avenue: Andrássy út (Andrássy út) is an iconic boulevard in Budapest, the capital of Hungary. Its history can be traced back to 1872. It was originally called Republic Avenue. It connects Elisabeth Square and City Park.
In the 14 years from 1871 to 1885, historic residential buildings, the Hungarian National Opera House, the Terror Building Museum, and many squares including Heroes' Square were built on both sides of Andrássy Street, the first in continental Europe. The first subway is also located here. The beautiful neo-Renaissance palaces and houses along the road, with beautiful facades, staircases and interior designs, make it the most beautiful street in Budapest and is listed as a World Cultural Heritage.
