Introduction to the Imperial Hall: The Imperial Hall (Salón del Trono) was built during the reign of Carlos II, and the interior decoration has been well maintained since Carlos III. The vault paintings in the hall show the story of the Spanish monarchy era, especially highlighting the rule of the kings in the 18th century. Most of the decorations in the hall were produced in the royal workshops, but there are also luxury goods from afar, such as crystal chandeliers from Venice, velvet embroidery from Naples, and bronze lion statues from Rome. The interior ceiling murals created by Tiepolo in 1766 show the symbol of Spanish monarchy. The gilded furniture with pattern carvings and velvet tapestry embroidery are all handmade in Naples, Italy. The huge glass mirror is made by the Royal Factory of La Granja. As well as the colorless crystal lamp bought from Venice in 1780, they are placed in the room.
