Introduction to the New City Hall: Munich’s New City Hall is located north of Marienplatz. It is a Gothic building built between 1867 and 1908. It has a brown-black appearance and a magnificent vertical wall composition with a Flemish style. Its architectural features include standing statues of Bavarian rulers, as well as statues of saints, statues of mythical missions, city coats of arms, statues of Munich historical figures, sculptures of animals and dancing masks.
