Introduction to Jesus College: Christ`s College of the University of Cambridge is famous for its high academic standards. It was formed from God`s House built in 1437 (the original site is now the King's College Chapel). It received the first royal warrant in 1446. It was moved to the current site in 1448 and received the second royal warrant. In 1505, it was renamed Christ's College and granted a Royal Charter (Charter) by Lady Margaret Beaufort, the mother of King Henry VII.
