Introduction to the Presidential Palace: The Presidential Palace (Kremlin Senate) was built from 1776 to 1787. It was the seat of the highest judicial and legislative offices during the Soviet period. It is now the official residence of the Russian president. It is said that the semicircular window in the middle is inside President Medvedev's office.
The building is not open to visitors, but the largest ancient cannon in the world can be seen near the outer wall on the south side of the Senate.
