Introduction to architectural sculptures: The Oceanographic Museum stands on a cliff near the sea. The entire building is 100 meters long and 87 meters wide. It has three floors including the basement. On the front of the gate and above the lintel are carved images of mythical mermaid princesses, sea gods, sea beasts and turtles. At the entrance is a statue of Albert I standing on a speedboat riding the waves. On the front of the second floor are white stone pillars carved from a single piece of stone. Engraved between the stone pillars are the names of research ships from around the world that have contributed to marine science. The names of the two speedboats used by King Albert I of Monaco - "Swallow" and "Elisa I" are also engraved here.
