Introduction to Glienicker Bridge: Glienicker Brücke is located on Lake Havel at the junction of western Berlin and Potsdam. It is named after Glienicker Palace. During the Cold War, this was the border bridge between West Berlin and East Germany. The United States and the Soviet Union used this bridge to exchange agents and spies captured by the other side. On the Potsdam side of the bridge, there is a sign marking the Cold War-era border. Visitors can walk from the Berlin side to the Potsdam side, spanning decades of history in two minutes, which is also a unique experience.
