Introduction to the Victory Column: The Victory Column (Siegessäule) is located 2 kilometers west of the Brandenburg Gate. It was built in 1873 to celebrate the victory in the Prudential War in 1864. At the top of the column is a gilded bronze statue of Victoria, the goddess of victory.
