Introduction to the Sea Canal: The fountain water of the Great Falls passes through the Sea Canal and merges into the Gulf of Finland in front of the Summer Palace. There are two Volonisin Pavilions symmetrically located on both sides of the canal. There are 32 marble stone cups lined up in two rows on both sides of the canal, with fountains splashing from the cups. When Peter the Great returned from the Baltic Sea in triumph, he took a boat back to the Grand Palace from here.
