Introduction to Zhenqi Pavilion: Zhenqi Pavilion is located in the west of Lower Garden. It is a two-story mini palace-style pavilion. Its real name comes from the French Hermitage, which means "thatched cottage where hermits live". Initially, the building was intended to provide a retreat for the royal family, and later became a venue for the Tsar to receive Russian celebrities.
The Pavilion of Curiosities was also conceived by Peter the Great himself. It has a harmonious appearance, tall windows, and bright colors, making it particularly exquisite. The pool around the pavilion and the extendable suspension bridge that connects to the garden on the other side provide a clear view of the beautiful scenery of the Gulf of Finland from the building.
The upper floor of the pavilion is an oil painting exhibition hall, displaying more than 100 masterpieces from Italian, French, Dutch and German artists from the 17th to 18th centuries. It is the first "Hermitage" museum in Russian history.
