Introduction to the Passion: The Passion (Facana de la Passio) mainly shows the pain of Jesus' death. Compared with the complicated decoration of the Nativity, it is much simpler. The huge sculpture on the facade was designed by Joseph Sabalakis ( Josep M. Subirachs) completed it in 1990. The image of the soldier in the scene where Jesus goes is based on the sculpture on the roof of La Pedrera.
