Introduction to Paris Square: Pariser Platz is located inside the Brandenburg Gate, at the west end of Unter den Linden. Before 1814, this square was simply called the Square (Viereck). In March 1814, Prussia and the Allies After the army defeated Napoleon and occupied Paris, the place was renamed Place de Paris to celebrate the victory.
