Introduction to Lviv University: Lviv University is one of the oldest universities in Europe and a national training and teaching center for science, engineering, and education talents in Ukraine. The university includes 16 departments, a total of 111 majors, 67 scientific research laboratories, a botanical garden, a geographical research field and a planetarium. The library has more than three million books and is one of the largest libraries in Ukraine. The sculpture on the main building is called "Spiritual Guards of Galicia".
