Everglades National Park Introduction: Everglades National Park is the largest tropical wildlife refuge in the United States. It is known as "a grass-covered river slowly flowing from the interior to the ocean" and is located at the southern tip of Florida. The aquatic living environment here provides a good refuge for countless birds and reptiles, as well as endangered animals such as manatees. The entire Great Swamp is about 160 kilometers long and 80 kilometers wide. In the center is a shallow river dotted with numerous low-lying islands.
