Introduction to the Junction Friendship Bridge: The Junction Friendship Bridge connects Brazil and Paraguay. It was opened in 1965 to facilitate transportation between the two countries and thereby improve mutual trade relations. The Friendship Bridge is located at the end of the BR-277 federal highway. The bridge is more than 550 meters long. After crossing the bridge from there, you can also reach Asuncion, the capital of Paraguay. In order not to affect the navigation of ships, the piers of the International Friendship Bridge are 303 meters high, so even if the water level rises during the rainy season, ships can still sail on the Parana River.
