Introduction to the Last Supper: There are nearly 400 huge paintings from the colonial period preserved in the church, most of which were painted by local artists in Peru in the early years. One of the paintings of "The Last Supper" is very interesting. There is a large gold plate in the middle of the table where Jesus and the Twelve Apostles are sitting. What is in the gold plate is actually a roasted guinea pig (Guinea Pig), the favorite food of Peruvians. The two large glasses on the table were filled with the Peruvian homemade fermented drink "Chicha".
