Simon the Zealot introduces: The Ghanaian, known as the "Zealate", is said to have been sawn in two while preaching the gospel in the Near East and was martyred for the Lord. Before following Jesus, Simon was a member of the Zealots. Because he had the same name as Simon Peter, he added "Zealot" before his name to distinguish him. He once preached in Egypt, Persia and other places. Later, the Holy Martyr Church celebrated the feast of him and his disciples on October 28 every year.
