Introduction to the 16th-century Salon: The 16th-century Salon (Salone dei Cinquecento) is located on the second floor. It was once the meeting room of the Florentine Republic. The walls on both sides are decorated with Bazarian paintings. The front end of the hall is decorated with Michelangelo's The statue of the Goddess of Victory was created in 1525. The decoration of the ceiling of the hall was created between 1569 and 1573 by the leading performance art painters of the time. The entire hall is solemn and elegant.
