Introduction to Guanyue Temple: Guanyue Temple is located on the north side of Gulou West Street, Xicheng District, Beijing. It was originally the Prince Chun Temple rebuilt from the residence of Prince Qing Chun. In 1914, it was changed to worship Guan Yu and Yue Fei, so it was called Guanyue Temple, also known as Wu Temple. The building area is about 3,000 square meters. The three walls on the north, east and west of the hall are inlaid with stone carvings of 80 famous generals from past dynasties who paid tribute to and worshiped King Wucheng. There are 16 existing stone carvings.
Guanyue Temple used to be the Beijing office of the Dalai Lama of Tibet in 1950. It is now the Beijing office of the People's Government of the Tibet Autonomous Region and is a key protected cultural relic in Beijing.
