Introduction to Niugan Mafei Gorge: Niugan Mafei Gorge is located in the western section of Xiling Gorge of the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, in Zigui County, Hubei Province. It is one of the famous dangerous shoals in Xiling Gorge. Because there are two groups of four or five dark yellow rocks hanging down on the rock wall on the north bank, one is shaped like a cow's liver and the other is shaped like a horse's lung, so it is named the Cow Liver and Horse Lung Gorge. This gorge is located between Xintan and Miaohe, and is 9.5 kilometers long. The narrowest point of the river is about 100 meters, and it is mainly composed of limestone.
