Based on "Along the River During the Qingming Festival" by the Northern Song Dynasty painter Zhang Zeduan, it took 50 artists and craftsmen four years to carve it. The work consists of the spring scenery in the suburbs of Bianjing, the Bianhe River Pier, and the streets of the city. The scene is grand and the structure is rigorous. It uses sculpture techniques such as round carving, relief carving, and hollow carving to vividly depict hundreds of characters with different manners, behaviors, and expressions; It fully demonstrates the prosperity of Bianjing, the capital of the Northern Song Dynasty.
