Introduction to Lianquan: There is an ancient well called "Lianquan" in the hexagonal pavilion in the east of the temple. In the "Xianghuadun Well Pavilion Notes" written by Li Guoheng, Li Hongzhang's grandnephew and a prominent figure during the Guangxu period, it is recorded that a prefect visited this place in the past. Due to the hot weather, he had a persistent headache after drinking the water from this well. It turned out that the prefect was a corrupt official, so people called the water in this well Lianquan. When the people of the Ming Dynasty renovated the Bao Gong Temple, they built a pavilion for the well that remains to this day. The edge of the well in Lianquan is also covered with deep dents, which were left by the long-term friction of the well ropes.
