Introduction to Midui Village: Midui Village is located between Ranwu Town and Bomi County, Basu County, Tibet. Although Midui belongs to Bomi County, it is much closer from Ranwu Town than from Bomi County. There is no sign at the fork into Midui from the Sichuan-Tibet Highway, but this fork is between the "Midui No. 1" Mingdong and the "Midui No. 2 Mingdong" on the Sichuan-Tibet Highway, so it is relatively easy to find. Buses from Chengdu, Qamdo and Linzhi pass through Ranwuzhen. There is a youth hotel in the town, which costs about 20 yuan per bed and has strong hot water for bathing. The off-road vehicle can drive all the way to Midui Village. It only takes about 2 hours to walk from the village to the glacier, and you can return to Ranwuzhen for accommodation that night. You can find someone in the village to lead the way to the glacier. If you want them to help carry things, it is best to give them about 20 yuan. During the Golden Week, the village will charge 15 yuan per person from arriving tourists and give them a self-printed receipt.
