Introduction by Sang Zhihua: The museum was originally founded by Emile Licent (1876-1952, Chinese name Sang Zhihua), a French priest and doctor of zoology. During his stay in China from 1914 to 1938, he conducted 25 years of exploration of the humanities, geography, geology, meteorology, and animal and plant resources in the Yellow River Basin and Haihe River Basin, covering geology, rock mineralogy, paleontology, and prehistory. History, zoology, botany, ethnography, economics and other aspects, more than 200,000 specimens of paleontology, animals, plants, ancient humans, rocks and minerals were collected, including Qingyang in Gansu, Yushe in Shanxi, Nihewan in Hebei, The completeness and richness of animal fossils in the four areas of Sarawusu, Inner Mongolia are rare in the world.
