Introduction to Huang Tingjian's Boating Office: Huang Tingjian's Boating Office is located on the north bank of Ronghu Lake in front of the Rongyin Pavilion in front of the ancient south gate. In the second year of Chongning (1103), the great poet Huang Tingjian of the Northern Song Dynasty was banished to Yizhou. He visited famous mountains and visited Chongning for three years. In 1104, he passed through Guilin and parked his boat on this shore. Zhang Zhijing, a Neo-Confucian scholar of the Southern Song Dynasty, built the Rongxi Pavilion in Xizhou as a tribute to his memory. The pavilion was abandoned for a long time. In 1955, a banyan pavilion was built on the old site. Later, a monument was erected on its side, titled "Where Huang Tingjian tied the boat".
