Introduction to Hongdou Xiaoguan: Hongdou Xiaoguan is the place where Chen Yinke, the most knowledgeable scholar in China, once lived and left many poems. Chen Yinke was proficient in more than 20 languages and was famous for his research on the history of the Sui and Tang Dynasties. After liberation, he publicly stated that he did not study Marxism-Leninism. He died of illness at Sun Yat-sen University during the Cultural Revolution. He was a recognized Chinese academic master. He was also a native of Guilin, Guangxi and the son-in-law of Taiwan Governor Tang Jingsong. Later Hu Shi also came here and left poems about Acacia beans.
