Chen Yinke was proficient in more than 20 languages ​​and was famous for his research on the history of the Sui and Tang Dynasties. After liberation, he publicly stated that he did not study Marxism-Leninism. He died of illness at Sun Yat-sen University during the Cultural Revolution. He was a recognized Chinese academic master. He was also a native of Guilin, Guangxi and the son-in-law of Taiwan Governor Tang Jingsong. Later Hu Shi also came here and left poems about Acacia beans.
