Introduction to the Horsefighting Arena: Horsefighting is a traditional cultural and sports activity of the Miao and Yao people living in Rongshui Miao Autonomous County. It is a contest of strength and courage between horses. Horse fighting is held on every traditional festival. In order to meet the cultural needs of the Miao compatriots, in 1987, the Rongshui County People's Government designated November 26, the county anniversary, as the Horse Fighting Festival.
